The only major concern surrounding Philadelphia is QB Jalen Hurts’ health status. He suffered a shoulder sprain in Week 15 and missed two games during the regular season. Philadelphia went 0-2 during that stretch in which Hurts was inactive.
During the Divisional Round of the playoffs, the Eagles looked incredibly well-balanced. The offense was explosive against New York, amassing 416 total yards. Both Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell rushed for more than 90 yards.
The deadly receiving trio of AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert deserve attention too. When these three players are healthy, the Eagles offense is extremely potent. Both Brown and Smith combined for 2,692 yards during the regular season, which is pretty insane.
I also want to discuss the defense, which is well above average. The defensive line is as good as it gets in the NFL, having also dominated the Giants during the Divisional Round. The Eagles came away with five sacks on QB Daniel Jones and limited the Giants to 227 total yards.
This is a well-rounded team with top players on both ends. It’s hard to see the Eagles going home yet, but their opponents are strong too.

What San Francisco has been able to do with a rookie starting QB is simply mind-boggling. The 49ers are also entering their match against the Eagles, having won their previous 12 games. This will be San Francisco’s third appearance in the NFC Championship in four years.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan could also advance to the Super Bowl for the third time in his career. He has a 6-2 playoff record, and he’s coaching one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. His model for success is something that can’t be understated.
Your NFC Championship Game prediction should also consider the 49ers’ dominance since late October. During the team’s current win streak, San Francisco has held its opponents to 17 points or less in nine games. The defense is scary good right now, and that’s what wins titles!
The 49ers’ greatest defensive effort this season also took place during the Divisional Round. The team forced multiple interceptions and held Dallas to just 282 yards of offense. This was just a week after the Cowboys ran up the score against the Buccaneers.
The offense is also pretty potent for the 49ers. The team put all of its trust in rookie QB Brock Purdy, who was the final selection of the 2022 NFL Draft (i.e., Mr. Irrelevant). And yet, looks like a veteran player who seemingly thrives under pressure.
Purdy also benefits from having a strong supporting cast around him. His best weapons include Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Deebo Samuel. These are three dynamic athletes who can rack up yards and make plenty of big plays.

Before I offer you my Eagles vs. 49ers betting pick and prediction, let’s do a quick recap. San Francisco enters the game as an underdog against Philadelphia. However, these two teams are the biggest juggernauts in the NFL right now.
The 49ers boast a top-five defense overall, but the Eagles rank second-best in yards allowed. Philadelphia also had the No. 3 scoring offense from the regular season, giving them a slight edge over San Francisco.
The Eagles’ biggest weakness is defending the run. The team allows an average of 4.6 yards per carry against opposing offenses. I think the 49ers can win this game if they can get creative with how they use McCaffrey and the other running backs.
