What else is there to say about Jake Paul? The YouTuber-turned-boxer is on top of the world right now. After defeating Anderson Silva, it appears that he could take on virtually any opponent.
Paul has a solid boxing style and decent power with some limitations. If you add his natural talent and excellent cardio, it’s no wonder Paul’s causing problems for his opponents. He also has access to some of the best trainers in the world, who do a great job preparing and mentoring him.
In six professional fights, Paul has a perfect record with four victories via knockout. The level of competition that he faces also tends to get better and better with every fight. He’s also been working hard over the past few years, and his dedication to boxing is very real.
What’s also remarkable about Paul is that he’s good at reading his opponents and making adjustments on the fly. He can deliver combinations like a professional boxer, which is something he continues to improve at. His footwork and balance are also pretty stellar.
At the same time, I don’t think he has faced solid competition so far. You could find strong arguments that all of his opponents have been very far from their best for various reasons. If Tate is anywhere close to his best active years, he should be a tougher challenge.

Tate only recently rose to prominence for his aggressive, Alpha-male personality. However, prior to gaining notoriety on the internet, Tate was a world-champion kickboxer. He’s got many years of experience under his belt in combat sports.
How good was Tate at kickboxing? His record shows that he’s a prolific fighter. In 85 career matches, Tate has 76 victories to go along with 9 losses. In 2009, Tate won the ISKA English Full-Contact light cruiserweight title. It was the first of several championships in his career.
There’s no denying that Tate is a more accomplished fighter than Paul. However, his experience is mostly limited to kickboxing. Tate has fought in only three professional MMA matches, posting a record of 2-1. His previous MMA match took palace in 2010.
We also don’t know much about Tate’s in-ring technique as a boxer. While he’d be the most experienced opponent to face Paul (in terms of official fights), Tate’s inactivity in combat sports is concerning. It’s not out of the question that Tate could win the match, but he’d have to prepare like crazy.
