Best Bitcoin Gambling Sites in 2024

Here, you’ll find everything you need to know about online gambling with Bitcoin safely. As well as a wealth of information, you’ll find several recommended Bitcoin gambling sites which accept US players. They’re listed in the table directly below, so feel free to go right ahead and pick a site if you like.

Selecting a Legit Bitcoin Gambling Site

Bitcoin Image 1 - The Best Bitcoin Gambling Sites

It’s extremely important that you don’t rush into picking a Bitcoin gambling site. You should always do your research when choosing an online casino, but there are some extra reasons to be careful when picking a Bitcoin casino.

The main reason to take your time when choosing a Bitcoin gambling site is safety. Our expert reviews cover many different facets of the sites from a player’s perspective, and safety is always our number-one priority.

Before reading any of our reviews, it would be a good idea to get familiar with how we determine whether or not a site is legitimate.

You can use the button above to see how we determine legitimacy, but we’re going to tell you here about the four most important factors all of our recommended Bitcoin gambling sites share in common. Here goes.

They’re Safe and Secure

Have you read any of the stories in the media about Bitcoins being stolen, sites being hacked, and savvy hackers tricking people into parting with their cryptocurrency? We certainly have, and we’re all too aware that many gamblers are new to cryptocurrency and are looking into it to find the best cryptocurrency gambling sites. That’s why we take safety and security so seriously when we assess sites. So should you.

We visit all of the sites we review, we check their reputation out with existing players and industry insiders, we check that the connection they operate on is encrypted and secure, and we assess whether or not they have valid gaming licenses. We also dig deep and find out all we can about the operators behind the site.

They Accept US Players

Did you know that American casino players have played a huge part in causing Bitcoin to be accepted as a form of currency? Yup, that’s right. US players realized quickly that Bitcoin could enable them to play casino games online despite UIGEA. You see, that law prohibits financial institutions from facilitating online gambling transactions, but since Bitcoin is decentralized, many US players use it to gamble on the web.

So, it’s only fitting that Bitcoin gambling sites should accept US players, and most of them do. In fact, if you’re from another country where it can be difficult (but not strictly illegal) to gamble online, there’s a good chance we have reviewed an online gambling site which will accept you, too.

They Offer Fast Payouts

The entire point of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is that you can send them anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you don’t need any middleman or permission to do so. Even when the Bitcoin blockchain (network) is incredibly busy, the longest it will take to move them across the world will be a few hours. It rarely takes that long, though, and when things are “normal,” you will be able to complete Bitcoin transactions within a few minutes.

Therefore, it makes absolutely no sense to play at Bitcoin gambling sites which take days to pay you. Nothing could be more frustrating than using one of the fastest payment methods in the world only to find that you can’t enjoy the benefits of it.

Fast payouts are important, and the faster a site pays out, the higher up our rankings a site will climb.

They Make Bitcoin Gambling Simple

We know that gambling online with Bitcoin for the first time can be a daunting experience. That’s why we look for user-friendly sites which make the whole process of gambling with Bitcoin as simple as possible. The Bitcoin gambling sites we list will make depositing and withdrawing Bitcoin as simple as A-B-C, whether you’re using a desktop device, a mobile, or a tablet. Whether you want to pay to and from a Bitcoin exchange address or a Bitcoin wallet, you’ll be able to do so without any specialist knowledge.

Trust us, simplicity is important. We’ve heard plenty of horror stories about people who have lost their Bitcoins due to not understanding how to send them properly. While they can be found and recovered in most cases, it’s not an experience you want to have, believe us!

Convenience or Safety, Do You Have to Choose?

The hysteria and intrigue surrounding Bitcoin has made it the perfect tool for gambling sites to use to attract new customers who want to test the full capabilities of their newly purchased currency. Now that the hysteria has died down, and the reliable online casinos and gambling sites have shone through the unreliable ones, it is relatively safer to use the currency on these formats.

If you are looking into using Bitcoin only sites, you can check their licensing status first. It is no guarantee that even the more established, well-known real money bitcoin gambling sites will have a license. If you do find one with a license, though, you may want to put it on your short list.

Real Money Bitcoin Gambling Site Transaction Setups

Within the realm of Bitcoin gambling, there are essentially two types of real money bitcoin gambling sites to choose from, and they each carry pros and cons

The ‘types’ of sites have more to do with bet payments and winnings payouts than the games they contain, so really, the ‘type of site’ is referring to the way the site is setup for financial transactions.

The first setup you may run into is commonly referred to as a ‘Bitcoin only’ site.

This type of site deals only in betting and transferring with Bitcoin. It doesn’t allow for any other form of currency, such as Paypal or credit card.

PROS

  • Instant payouts, convenient for avid bitcoin users, sites equipped specifically for transactions with Bitcoin, transactions not government regulated*

Cons

  • Trading in volatile currency, sites have not been around for as long, transactions not government regulated*

(* this point can be considered both a pro and a con, depending on your point of view. The non-government regulations mean that there aren’t necessarily records of your transactions.)

The second one is simply a site that has added Bitcoin to their repertoire of accepted currencies.

If you want to try betting with Bitcoin on a site you’ve already grown to know and love, you might be in luck. Some established sites have added special Bitcoin capabilities for both payouts and betting.

PROS

  • Established site, history of coming through on payouts, comfortable and convenient for Bitcoin traders new and old

Cons

  • Site not necessarily accustomed to transactions made in Bitcoin

How to Pick the Right Bitcoin Betting Site for You

Since we’ve recommended several excellent sites, we thought we’d add a little information on how to pick between them.

Before asking yourself the following questions, remember that each site has an in-depth review that you can read to find out all of the information about that site. We recommend you check out the reviews for the sites you’re interested in.

Ask yourself these questions as you read…

  • Which sports do you want to bet on most? Does the site offer action on your preferred sports?
  • What type of bets do you like to make? Does the site offer them?
  • Is live betting important to you? Can you cash out early? Make sure the site facilitates it if so.
  • Does the site offer any extra features that make it better than the rest? For example, it might offer a sports stats center or live streaming of events.
  • Do you want to play casino games, poker, or bingo as well as bet on sports? If so, again, make sure those services which are most important to you are available.
  • Are there any free bets or welcome bonuses available? What are the ongoing sports betting promotions like?

If you find a site that ticks most of your boxes, you should go ahead and play there. Don’t forget that it’s perfectly possible to hold accounts at multiple Bitcoin betting sites, so you don’t have to narrow it down to just one.

Whatever site(s) you decide on, we wish you the best of luck. Do your research, make smart bets, and Lady Luck will show up eventually!

Guide to Gambling with Bitcoin

Bitcoin Image 3 - The Best Bitcoin Gambling Sites
It would be irresponsible of us to introduce you to the best Bitcoin gambling sites without showing you the ropes. If you’re already a Bitcoin gambling veteran, you can probably skip over the first section below, but you’ll still find value in the other sections on provably fair gambling and spread betting.

Getting Started with Bitcoin Gambling

These pages have been designed for those of you who haven’t used Bitcoin to gamble online. We’ll walk you through how to buy Bitcoin (don’t try it without reading a guide first) and some of the crucial information you should understand clearly before diving in.

For example, we’ll explain what Bitcoin wallet addresses are and how to make sure you don’t enter the wrong address and send your Bitcoin into the void.

If you haven’t used Bitcoin before, stop whatever you’re doing, take some time, and read both of these pages. Doing so will save you so much time in the long run that it can’t be overstated.

Provably Fair Gambling

Whether or not you’re using Bitcoin, the number-one important factor is that you’re playing at fair, legitimate gambling sites. But how do you know for sure?

Apart from reading our expert reviews, there are third-party game testing companies, adjudication services which handle disputes, and a number of other ways to check if a gambling site is fair.

This page will show you where to find fair online gambling sites and how to assess whether or not a site you are interested in is provably fair.

What Is Provably Fair Gambling?

Provably fair gambling is a process whereby a player can verify that the outcomes of games have been fair in real time. It makes use of three pieces of technology:

  • Random Number Generators
  • Seed Generators
  • Hashing

Random number generators generate millions (sometimes billions) of numbers per second and determine game outcomes.
Seed generators create the numbers which are fed into algorithms, which in turn determine outcomes. In provably fair systems, players get to add a seed number, ensuring the casino isn’t in control of the outcome.
Hashing is the transformation of a longer string of data into a shorter string. In the context of provably fair gambling, when a seed number is hashed, it is encrypted. For all practical purposes, the cryptographic hashes used at Bitcoin gambling sites are considered unbreakable. This means you can be sure they haven’t been tampered with.

How Provably Fair Gambling Works

With the above concepts in mind, we can now go on to describe step by step how provably fair gambling systems work.

  1. The gambling site creates a seed number which is then hashed and sent to the player
  2. The player adds his or her own seed
  3. The bet plays out, and the outcome is decided
  4. When the bet has played out, the player receives the seed used in the bet
  5. The player can verify the bet. If any interference has occurred, the hash function would not be verified, and the player would know

Picking a Provably Fair Gambling Site

There are lots of provably fair sites out there. So, which one should you pick? We’ve written in-depth “how to pick a casino” guides elsewhere on this site, but there are some things which are unique and specific to provably fair sites which we’ll cover here. Of course, the “common sense” things which apply when selecting any gambling sites apply here, too.
Remember, just because a site claims to be “provably fair” doesn’t mean it is. You’ll still want to get the opinion of experts before signing up.

  • Check That It Accepts Your Preferred Cryptocurrencies
  • Check That It’s Secure and 100% Safe
  • Check That It Offers the Services You Want
  • Check That It’s Truly Transparent
  • Check the Other Unique Features It Offers
  • Check If Bonuses and Promotions Are Offered

Bitcoin Spread Betting

If you want to make money betting on the price direction of Bitcoin, there’s no better way to do so than by spread betting.

If you don’t know what spread betting is, think of it like taking a piggyback on the price of Bitcoin and either profiting or losing from it. For example, you can bet $10 on every dollar that Bitcoin will go up in value, and for every $1 it rises, you will profit $10. Of course, for every $1 it goes in the other direction, you’ll lose $10.

If that seems like a crazy risk to you, don’t worry. You can bet as little as $0.10 per $1 price move at the best Bitcoin spread betting sites. Therefore, spread betting is a great way to get in on one of the insane Bitcoin price swings without the risk of buying Bitcoin directly.

It’s possible to make (and lose) massive amounts of money by spread betting on Bitcoin. It’s the sort of thing that could make you rich in a very short space of time, but it’s crucially important that you understand exactly how it works, how to manage risk, which Bitcoin spread betting strategies you should use, and which Bitcoin spread betting sites offer the best deals.

This page will explain all of that and then some.

All About Bitcoin

If you’re not already on the Bitcoin train, or if you are and you want to brush up on your knowledge of the number-one cryptocurrency, you’ll find this section valuable.

The All About Bitcoin page will guide you through what Bitcoin is, how it got started, why it’s used and by who, the benefits and drawbacks of using it, and a lot of other cool information about Bitcoin.

Think of this as your A-Z guide to Bitcoin. If you take the time to read it properly, you’ll know a lot more than the average Joe on the street about Bitcoin, and certainly a lot more than you did when you landed on this page!

A Short History of Bitcoin

  1. On October 31, 2008, a computer programmer using the moniker Satoshi Nakamoto released a white paper called “Bitcoin: A Peer to Peer Electronic Cash System.
  2. The following January, the Bitcoin network came into existence, and Satoshi mined the first “block,” known as The Genesis Block. He was rewarded with 50 Bitcoins, and Bitcoin was officially born.
  3. The day it was released, a cryptography enthusiast named Hal Finney downloaded the Bitcoin blockchain and was sent 10 Bitcoins by Satoshi Nakamoto. This was the first official Bitcoin transaction.
  4. In its early days, Bitcoin was the pet project of cryptographers and those involved in the counterculture, but it began to gain traction in 2011 when Wikileaks started accepting it for donations. At the same time, it started to be used for black market transactions on the dark web, mainly on the website Silk Road.
  5. In late 2013, the Silk Road was shut down, and its founder, Ross Ulbricht, was arrested. The market was the main use case for Bitcoin until that point.
  6. In early 2014, a large Japanese Bitcoin exchange called Mt. Gox filed for bankruptcy and suspended withdrawals. These events caused the price of Bitcoin to plunge, but it ultimately recovered and surpassed its 2014 price many times over.
  7. By 2015, the number of merchants accepting Bitcoin was over 100,000, and in 2016, the government of Japan recognized virtual currencies like Bitcoin as legitimate. This was solidified in 2017 when Japan passed laws recognizing Bitcoin as a legal payment method.
  8. To this day, the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto has never been revealed. There’s been plenty of speculation, and some believe Satoshi is a group, rather than an individual, but no “smoking gun” has been found yet. Whoever it is (or they are), it is estimated that Satoshi mined 980,000 Bitcoins before handing the project over to an early enthusiast named Gavin Andresen.

Phew! That’s one heck of an interesting history for a currency, and truth be told, we’re only scratching the surface and highlighting the main points here. The story of Bitcoin has been full of mystery, twists, turns, and the unexpected so far. Will that continue? Only time will tell, but it’s highly likely that a few more unforeseeable surprises lie in Bitcoin’s future.

While the future is exciting, lots of people look back to the early days of Bitcoin and wonder how Satoshi Nakamoto got the first Bitcoins to begin with.
