The online gambling community is no different than virtually everyone else when it comes to technological evolution. It has embraced the world where everything is constantly changing.  Consumers are always looking for newer, better, the latest and greatest of everything, and they have their ears to the ground when it comes to e-commerce and new online offerings.

Every day something new is hitting the market and online bettors now have something new to add to their seemingly infinite selections of online gambling channels.

Introducing a brand new Bitcoin-only casino website called Slots.com. Licensed and governed by the laws of England and Gibraltar, Slots.com provides a new platform for players who have embraced cryptocurrency or players who would like to dip their toe in the water and give bitcoin “banking” a try within a brand new online casino.

Slots.com Mobile Screenshot

Slots.com is a sister site of Slots.lv with a similar platform and uses the same gaming software, but that’s where the similarities end.

Let’s take a look at what makes Slots.com different:

  • Designed primarily for mobile use
  • Banking in bitcoin only
  • Bonuses in bitcoin
  • Different geographical restrictions for players

Put Your Computer Away – Slots.com has a bit of a design reversal as most websites are designed with full computer access in mind and then the mini mobile version comes next. Not so with this new endeavor. Slots.com is a mobile platform first and foremost so, even when navigating to the full website, players are recommended to access the mobile version for the optimal experience. We will say that the same games and information is currently accessible regardless of the chosen format.

Bitcoin Means Bitcoin – This is a bitcoin casino and conducts all transactions solely in bitcoin whether depositing or cashing out. The premise of this site is “Faster Transactions and Anonymous Play”, all attributed to the bitcoin structure.

1000 Slot Chips = 1 Bitcoin – Think about it. You’re not dealing in regular currency so how do those winnings add up and what are they worth? The welcome bonus is a bitcoin match. New players register, make a bitcoin deposit and then the casino matches it for up to 1,000 slots, chips or the equivalent of one bitcoin. Of course, there are wagering requirements just like everywhere else, but we’ll get into that in a “bit”.

No “U’s” Allowed – Meaning, no U.S. or U.K. players allowed, or Uganda or Uruguay for that matter. In fact, they restrict registration and game play from the following 28 regions:  Afghanistan, Bosnia, Canada, Costa Rica, Curacao, Guyana, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Latvia, Laos, Libya, Myanmar, New Zealand, North Korea, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vanuatu and Yemen.

Slots.lv does come into play for many of these locations and there is even a redirect available to Slots.lv if you try to access Slots.com from the United States or any of the aforementioned locations. This is a strictly monitored website and it blocks anyone who is not in the acceptable regions for play.

Slots.com Bitcoin Options

For those who can enter the casino, you’ll have your choice of slots, video poker, and table games. These are games that are also on the Slots.lv platform, but Slots.lv also offers Specialty games like Keno, Scratch Cards, Bingo, and Sudoku whereas Slots.com does not, at least not yet.

Keep in mind that Slots.com has just launched as of this review. You won’t find a great deal of information posted about it yet as it is such a newbie, but we’ve got you covered here at least with enough to get you started, so read on.

Is Slots.com for You?

Do you love the Bitcoin concept and appreciate the anonymity, convenience, and low to no fees it provides?

Are you looking for slots, video games, or table games to play online?

Do you live somewhere other than the 28 restricted regions we’ve noted above?

If it’s a yes, yes, yes… then why not give the brand new Slots.com a whirl? It’s fun to be in on the ground floor of something new and to be able to say that you were one of the first players on the website.

We will get into the actual game offerings in just a bit, but suffice it to say that this just the beginning for Slots.com. We feel confident that, in order for it to be competitive with other bitcoin casinos, there is some planned expansion in the works.

Players on the site must be at least 18 years of age but must also abide by the laws in their particular area as age restrictions vary depending upon location.

Say you were there when it first began – aka how to register a brand new player account on Slots.com

Now open for business and accepting new players, Slots.com, and its bitcoin-only format eliminates the need for players to provide any type of extensive information when registering their new account. In fact, the registration form has three questions:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Username

Slots.com Signup Page

What does that take?  About 30 seconds maximum.

Because bitcoin is the only way to fund a player account, there is no need to collect any detailed information from players. Bitcoin allows for anonymity and it would be counterproductive to require players to reveal a lot of personal information.

When a credit card transaction is implemented, accurate card information, as well as name and zip or postal code, are typically required to finalize the payment. With bitcoin, all that’s needed is a wallet address. Wallet providers don’t even associate a wallet address with a name. Again, it’s like physical cash. Anyone can use it and you really don’t know who last had that bill in his or her wallet. All you know is what it’s worth and that you can buy something without anyone knowing your name.

Registered players are then immediately good to go and can start playing for points. The points then equate to bitcoin at a value of 1,000 points per bitcoin.

Deposit With Bitcoin and Withdraw With Bitcoin

It’s a whole different world discussing deposit and withdrawal options in regard to a dedicated bitcoin casino as opposed to everywhere else. We typically list out a variety of deposit options that may or may not coincide with cash outs, and may or may not have accompanying fees. We’re not going to do that here.

Slots.com is giving you the choice of one, but it’s a good one and you now know exactly what we’re talking about. The bitcoin.

So, let’s discuss bitcoin, in general, for a bit just to make sure we’re all on the same page.

Bitcoin was born in 2008 to Satoshi Nakamoto, probably not the real name of the programmer but, more likely, the pseudo name of an unidentified programmer or programming group. The premise of bitcoin is to have a peer to peer system rather than an intermediary like a bank, credit union, e-wallet provider or any other middleman.

The transactions take place directly from one user to the other.  These currency movements are all recorded in a ledger called the “blockchain”. Bitcoin users who initiate transfers will see that their personal ledger could not be any more simplistic. It’s a basic list and nothing more, at least not on the surface.

For lack of any better word, bitcoin is referred to as cryptocurrency and the U.S. Treasury and other institutions consider it to be a “virtual” currency. The most interesting thing to note about bitcoin is it’s technically the first decentralized digital currency. There’s no host country or formal institution backing it. Bitcoin is simply bitcoin regardless of your global location.

As far as managing bitcoins, users maintain a cryptocurrency wallet. The wallet actually stores the digital credentials of the owner’s bitcoin holdings and does not even remotely resemble an online bank account. It’s a simple list of transactions in and out of the wallet that is comprised of “keys”. The keys are generated at the time of transfer and bitcoin generates two each time, one public and one private.

Also unlike traditional bank accounts, the owner’s information is private. There isn’t a formal bitcoin account set-up. It can, again, best be equated to dealing with cash. Anyone can have cash in hand and make transactions without providing their name, address, or identification. It’s a simple transaction from one to another. Bitcoin is like that in a virtual sense.

Where’s Your Wallet?

For players who have never utilized bitcoin as a method of funding a betting account, it may seem quite foreign and intimidating but actually becomes quite easy after you have something in your wallet.

Setting up a wallet is really the big step and even that is a quick few-minute process, so here’s a step by step guide to getting started with bitcoin if you’re an absolute beginner.

Select a Bitcoin wallet service – there are many from which to select but here a few:

  • Bitcoin Core
  • Bitcoin Knots
  • Breadwallet
  • Coin Space
  • Green Bits
  • mSiGNA
  • MultiBit HP
  • Simple Bitcoin

Then, unless you’ve set it up to accept bitcoin first, you do need to put something into your wallet. Never fear though. You may be a bit scared off by discussions you’ve heard of bitcoin mining and other obscure ways to obtain bitcoin, but you can also convert some of your traditional money into bitcoin on a site like buybitcoinworldwide.com by using a credit or debit card, bank transfer, PayPal, Swift, NETELLER, Interac, or a variety of other methods.

All right. Your wallet has currency and you’re ready to play!

Slots.com Player Account Deposits and Withdrawals

Here’s where we come to the traditional deposit and withdrawal section of an online casino review in its most basic form.

  • Available deposit methods: Bitcoin
  • Available withdrawal methods: Bitcoin
  • Turnaround time for funding: Deposits should be received within just a few minutes
  • Turnaround time for cash outs: Pending the approval process by Slots.com itself, funds should then be available within a few minutes
  • Additional fees: They do not charge for deposit or withdrawals and, in many cases, your transfers will be totally fee free, but this depends on the individual bitcoin wallet provider.
  • How do I even initiate a deposit from my bitcoin wallet?

If you’ve never used bitcoin before, it’s an important question. Bitcoin transactions are even less complicated than credit or debit card payments. If you have your bitcoin wallet set up on the same device that you’re using for Slots.com, it’s even that much easier.

Transfers are made to and from wallet addresses using generated keys, but you don’t even need to worry about those keys. You have a wallet address and Slots.com has a wallet address so it’s like handing money over to a friend. You’re not providing any additional information aside from the amount of bitcoin (usually converted to a traditional currency amount) and the wallet address.

If your wallet is readily available, you’ll most likely just click on the transfer button provided on the site to request that your own bitcoin wallet transfer funds to their bitcoin wallet. It’s as simple as that. Conduct one bitcoin transfer and you’ll be hooked.

Welcome and Other Bonuses

During their casino launch, Slots.com is promoting their unique 100% match welcome bonus for new players.

New players simply make their first bitcoin deposit and Slots.com matches it 100% up to 1,000 slot chips maximum or the equivalent of one bitcoin. This may not seem very significant but, at the time of this review, current bitcoin valuation for one bitcoin is:

  • Australian Dollar: 1,639
  • Canadian Dollar: 1,662
  • Euros: 1,152
  • German Mark: 2,120
  • Japanese Yen: 134,957
  • Mexican Peso: 23,210
  • U.S. Dollar: $1,234

One bitcoin may seem quite small, but it’s actually worth quite a bit in standard currency so the welcome bonus is a significant one for players who appreciate good bonus programs.

The welcome bonus does come with a playthrough requirement that factors in the deposit amount plus the bonus amount. The site doesn’t have specifics on its bonuses and wagering requirements posted as yet but does stipulate that it has 35 times play through mandated on this particular bonus offer.

Additionally, there will be imposed contributions that are game-specific and will most likely mirror its sister Slots.lv casino.

  • Slots: 100% percentage contribution
  • Tri Card Poker: 20% contribution
  • Video Poker, Classic Blackjack: 10% contribution
  • Single and Double Deck Blackjack, Roulette: 5% contribution
  • Craps: no contribution

The framework is in place for other promotions as well even if they’re not promoted as yet. Slots.com’s terms and conditions do include mention of no-deposit bonuses, deposit bonuses, and special offers, so special promotions and bonus programs should soon be unveiled to registered players.

Let’s walk through those virtual casino doors

The casino is divided up into three basic areas of gaming:

  • Slots
  • Table Games
  • Video Poker

The games provided on Slots.com utilize some of the best technology available from prominent software providers including Real Time Gaming (RTG) and Rival, as well as some proprietary software.

As the entire casino was built specifically for mobile play, the format fits into a mini version quite nicely, still maintaining good graphics and easy to access buttons for the actual betting and game play.

Slot Games

Slots.com Bulletproof Babes Slots Game

The slots area is the most substantial yet still small in comparison to most other online casinos. As we mentioned, we’re assuming that Slots.com launched with the basics and intends to expand their selections as players come aboard.

The Slot games area has 35 total games with various themes and enhancements, but these are the newest slot games using cutting-edge software technology.

The Slot Game menu:

  • A Night with Cleo
  • Achilles
  • Aladdin’s Wishes
  • Aztec’s Treasure
  • Bulletproof Babes
  • Caesar’s Empire
  • Cleopatra’s Gold
  • Crystal Waters
  • Derby Dollars
  • Diamond Dozen
  • Dirty Martini
  • Dragons
  • Enchanted Garden
  • Fruit Frenzy
  • Funky Monkey
  • Goldbeard
  • Green Light
  • Hillbillies
  • Honey to the Bee
  • Jackpot Pinatas
  • Koi Garden
  • Lion’s Lair
  • Mermaid Queen
  • Mister Money
  • Outta This World
  • Paradise Dreams
  • Penguin Power
  • Rain Dance
  • Realm of Riches
  • Red Sands
  • Ronin
  • Sunken Treasure
  • The Final Rose
  • Tiger Treasures
  • Victory

One thing we particularly like in regard to this casino’s set up is the nice streamlined navigation and complete information and instruction that accompany each and every gaming option. Select a game and you get a nice concise overview. Looking for more? Click on additional information and it’s there. This is especially convenient for in regard to the table games where the player may need additional tips and play-by-play instructions.

Table Games

Slots.com Blackjack Game

A small seven-table area within the casino that boasts a good variety of the top games that players look for in an online casino.

The games include:

  • American Roulette
  • Baccarat
  • Blackjack
  • Craps
  • European Roulette
  • Tri Card Poker
  • Zappit Blackjack

Basically, these are all standard games and the variety should suffice to accommodate the first players to come aboard to Slots.com.

Zappit Blackjack actually adds a nice twist to the most popular game of blackjack and definitely enhances this area of the casino.

If you haven’t played Zappit Blackjack before, you may want to put some chips on the table as it is an enhanced version and quite a bit of fun. It has the same basic objective of securing 21 without going over, but here’s the Zappit twist…

If a player is dealt a hard total of 15, 16 or 17, he or she can opt to hit the zap button resulting in a lightning strike that exchanges the original cards for brand new ones.

This is a favorite Bovada game and does really add something a bit different to the traditional game of 21.

Unfortunately, there are currently no live table games available on Slots.com, but time will tell.

Slots.com Video Poker Screenshot

The third area of the casino is the Video Poker game bank. Video Poker is a popular selection by some regular players and Slots.com accommodates them with eight games including some multi-play variations to shake things up a bit.

This area of the casino is comprised of:

  • Bonus Deuces Wild
  • Double Double Bonus
  • Jacks or Better – 1 hand
  • Jacks or Better – 3 hands
  • Jacks or Better – 10 hands
  • Joker Poker – 1 hand
  • Joker Poker – 3 hands
  • Joker Poker – 10 hands

Despite the extra room needed to accommodate multi-hand play, the site does a nice job with their software, still enabling players to easily bet, hold and deal without the constant worry of hitting the wrong button.

The games are fairly standard, but the multiplay variations with three and 10 hand Jacks or Better and Joker Poker do add a nice modern element to a smaller casino.

Specialty Games are not available at this time but, if Slots.com does follow in the footsteps of Slots.lv, they should be adding keno, bingo, sudoku, and scratch and win games at some point.

Tournaments

Tournaments and other promotions are not listed or available at this time.

Customer Support

We need to be honest here. There is not customer support available at the time of this review and it looks like, if Slots.com is planning to have live chat support, it will not be available during their initial launch phase.

Slots.com is promoting a Customer Service response within 24 hours so we’re making an educated guess that everything will be handled via email until those reels have been spinning for a little while.

Final Thoughts

This is a brand new casino. It’s unproven and in the early phase of being activated. That can be somewhat intimidating.

However, this is not a new casino operator. Slots.lv launched in 2003 so it’s been around for more than ten years and is a reputable online gaming provider. It always takes some time for new ventures to be fully operational and we do anticipate that Slots.com will match, and maybe even surpass, the Slots.lv website with its quantity and diversity of games.

The bitcoin premise can be very appealing to players who’ve been utilizing this unique cryptocurrency that’s technically still in its infancy stage but has established itself globally with millions of users and thousands of merchants.

One of the biggest hurdles that online players face, especially in certain markets, is the funding and withdrawal of their player account. They’re risking money in the hopes of receiving, even more, money so it’s a hot topic that can not only be geographically challenging, but dependent upon the funding partners of each particular online casino or sportsbook.

Bitcoin definitely alleviates a lot of those issues. If a Slots.com bettor has a wallet with some bitcoin available, they can easily transfer it to their player account, no questions asked.

We’ve provided some information about how bitcoin works but anyone new to using it may still have reservations. Is it just a fad or a way to facilitate online wagering without any possibility of benefit from it?

There are definitely valid concerns and we really have no way of knowing what the future will hold for bitcoin. But, for the time being, it has been proven to be a stable way to privately gamble online and there are probably more ways to utilize bitcoin than you can imagine.

First of all, there is a fairly extensive list of merchants who now accept bitcoin in addition to the online casino operators or sportsbooks.

Just a small sampling of the 100,000+ merchants accepting this cryptocurrency includes:

  • Microsoft
  • WordPress.com
  • Tesla
  • RE/MAX London
  • Rakutan – eCommerce giant in Japan
  • CEX – Scottish trade-in chain
  • i-Pmart – Malaysian online mobile phone retailer
  • Virgin Galactic – and other Virgin divisions
  • One Shot Hotels – Spanish hotel chain
  • Save the Children – global charity

We did mention how to go about converting your regular currency into bitcoin, but there are some different ways to reverse the process. In fact, there are currently 50 bitcoin ATM machines in ten different countries. These machines are courtesy of Easy Bit and are located in the U.S. in Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Michigan, Colorado, and Texas as well as in British Columbia, Croatia, Denmark, Italy, Greece, Slovenia, and Vietnam.

Nearly every day, there are articles and news alerts regarding new ways to utilize bitcoin, but online betting with bitcoin funding just seems to make good sense.

Slots.com is not the first dedicated bitcoin-casino. There are several 100% bitcoin only websites for online gambling (7Bit, Betchain, Betcoin, BitCasino, BitStarz, mBit…) in addition to hundreds of others that accept bitcoin as just one of their multiple deposit and withdrawal methods. It is appealing due to the low to no fees and higher withdrawal limits.

Benefits of using bitcoin on Slots.com:

  • Cost effective: little to no transaction fees added for deposits or withdrawals
  • Instant payments: actually, close to instant as they usually take a few minutes for completion
  • No identity verification required
  • Quick and easy to initiate transfers: after the initial set-up, it’s a matter of inputting a password
  • Secure: keep you password and private key safe and you’re not going to worry about theft
  • It is optimal for online gaming: it’s a digital currency meant to be used online

With the growing popularity of bitcoin and the benefits that a bitcoin casino provides, we fully expect Slots.com to take their place as a prominent and long-running member of the online gaming community. It utilizes quality software and has inherited the experience and reputation from Slots.lv.  Slots.com has already put forth a quality website for its official unveiling despite the smaller range of offerings, but it will be exciting to see it evolve.

If you enjoy the benefits of bitcoin or using it has piqued your interest, why not be an inaugural member of Slots.com and take a bit of a gamble?
