The World Athletics Championships 2023 betting odds are available for multiple disciplines. You can bet on the men’s and women’s 100-meter races and several other events, so it’s time to look for good gambling opportunities.

I want to help guide your betting picks by sharing my World Athletics Championships predictions and analysis.

The odds in this article are available at Bovada, one of the few bookmakers online that cover the tournament.

Men’s 100 Betting Odds and Predictions

  • Fred Kerley; +260
  • Noah Lyles; +450
  • Letsile Tebogo; +550
  • Zharnel Hughes; +550
  • Ferdinand Omanyala; +750

The odds indicate that American Fred Kerley is the frontrunner in the men’s 100-meter race. He’s ahead of Noah Lyles, also a top US competitor. Lyles is a two-time world champion in the 200-meter race.

Kerley will try to defend his title in the 100-meter race at the World Athletics Championships. He won in 2022 with a running time of 9.86 seconds, finishing ahead of fellow Americans Marvin Bracy and Trayvon Bromell.

If you follow track and field athletes, then you know that Kerley is the real deal. He’s part of a formidable group of American competitors in the men’s 100-meter race. Kerley also captured a silver medal in the same event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Lyles is the other contender in this race who has a real chance at dethroning Kerley, but he’s better in the longer distance. The athlete is the current record holder and reigning world champion in the men’s 200-meter race.

Still, Lyles’ personal best in the 100 m is 9.86 seconds, a very solid time and going anywhere near that will guarantee him a medal and potentially, a title.

Another notable contender is Zharnel Hughes, a British athlete and European champion. His personal best in the 100 m is 9.83 seconds, so he’s got what it takes to win this thing.

I also recommend that you pay attention to Letsile Tebogo. The 20-year-old phenom from Botswana could also become the next world champion. Last year, Tebogo became just the second athlete to run the 100-meter race in less than 10 seconds in the under-20 age class.

Still, it’s hard to go against the favorite when the odds are so juicy. I’m picking Kerley to win with one of my Athletics Championships 2023 predictions. He’s super consistent in terms of his competitive record, so +260 for a guy that always performs on the big stage makes a lot of sense.

Odds:
+260
My Pick:
Fred Kerley to win

Women’s 100 Betting Odds and Predictions

  • Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce; +110
  • Marie-Josee Ta Lou; +275
  • Shericka Jackson; +500
  • Sha’Carri Richardson; +550
  • Dina Asher-Smith; +1300

The World Athletics Championships betting odds favor Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in the women’s 100-meter race. She’s a veteran athlete from Jamaica and whopping 10-time world champion. Her top challengers are Marie-Josee Ta Lou, Sha’Carri Richardson, and Shericka Jackson.

Fraser-Pryce is by far the most accomplished athlete competing in this year’s 100-meter race. She’s also currently the two-time reigning champion in this event. Her personal best in the 100-meter race is 10.6 seconds.

It’s hard to describe Fraser-Pryce’s dominance over the last decade. She’s been one of the most consistent and hard-working athletes in track and field during her reign. Fraser-Pryce’s productivity during her competitive career has also been nothing short of impressive.

Ta Lou, another veteran athlete, is expected to challenge Fraser-Pryce. She’s never won a race at the World Championships, but this could be the year it happens. Ta Lou recently powered her way to victory at the London Diamond League in June.

Ta Lou can still run sub-10.8 seconds in the 100-meter race. The 34-year-old competitor hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. Having yet to win a race at the World Athletics Championships should also motivate her immensely.

Another notable contender here is Richardson, who’s competing for the first time at the World Athletics Championships. She’s had a solid season thus far in 2023, posting a personal-best 10.71 seconds in the 100 m. Richardson became the reigning US champion in July.

Let’s also not forget about Shericka Jackson, a decorated career in track and field. She’s a three-time world champion and an Olympic gold medalist. Jackson’s personal best is 10.65 seconds, which was her winning time at the Jamaica Championships in July.

I think a major upset will go down in the women’s 100-meter race. Fraser-Pryce is an excellent athlete, but her reign must end at some point. That’s why I’m picking Richardson to win this one. She’s young, explosive, and talented enough to win a world title. The price of +550 is just too high to ignore.

Odds:
+550
My Pick:
Sha'Carri Richardson to win

Men’s 110 Hurdles Odds and Predictions

  • Grant Holloway; +150
  • Rasheed Broadbell; +200
  • Daniel Roberts; +650
  • Cordell Tinch; +650
  • Shunsuke Izumiya; +1100

The men’s 110-meter hurdles should be a two-horse race, if we trust the odds. The main contender is Grant Holloway, the two-time reigning champion in this event. He’ll be racing against Rasheed Broadbell, a young Jamaican athlete on the rise.

Holloway is without question the best on earth when it comes to the men’s 110-meter hurdles. He holds the top world ranking in this event, and his personal best is 12.81 seconds. That’s the second-fastest time on record in the men’s 110-meter hurdles.

There’s a lot of pressure on Holloway to win three consecutive titles. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he fell short of the gold medal, but since then, Holloway has been unstoppable. He’s arguably the best athlete of his generation in the 110-meter hurdles.

It looks like Broadbell is the only contender that could challenge Holloway in this race, despite his young age. The 20-year-old athlete recently won a national title in June with a winning time of 12.96 seconds. Broadbell is also the reigning champion at the Commonwealth Games.

The Jamaican prodigy has a real opportunity to assert his dominance in this event and take the crown. He raced against Holloway earlier this year at the Rabat Diamond League. Broadbell won by a narrow margin, and now a rivalry could be brewing between him and Holloway.

Daniel Roberts and Cordell Tinch are both excellent competitors, but let’s be serious. This race is between Holloway and Broadbell. If I also had to pick one of them to win, it would be Broadbell. The young Jamaican athlete is already blossoming into a superstar, so he has the confidence to steal the crown.

Odds:
+200
My Pick:
Rasheed Broadbell to win
