Well, this is an exciting casino name for someone like me who is a child of the 1980s. Just hearing the name Miami Dice takes me right to the days of wishing I was Crockett or Tubbs solving crimes in Miami. Now, I know that reference is lost on many of my readers, but I have to assume that this play on words is exactly what the owners of this casino had hoped. Now, looking past their neon-filled homepage, my job is to dig into this casino to see if it is more than just hype and if it is worth the time and money of my valued readers. So, let’s throw on our white linen suits and loafers and check this out, shall we!

Miami Dice Casino launched in 2016, so there is a very good chance that many of you haven’t heard of them. This can be a bit of a red flag for me, as I always question how successful new entrant to the crowded casino space will be, but as always I like to give a site the benefit of the doubt until I have completed a thorough review.

Here is what we know about the company. It is owned by Imperium Network Solutions Limited, which doesn’t tell you much except that they are a Malta based company. The site does have two gaming licenses, from the UK and Malta, which tells me that they are solid enough to have passed the due diligence stages of both regulatory boards.

Also, it would appear based on their software choices, that they are being managed by White Hat Gaming, who area white label operation well known for managing some great casino brands.

Who Can Play at Miami Dice Casino?

To comply with the regulations form their gaming licensing boards, the Miami Dice casino team has to place restrictions on who can play at their site for real money. This is not really surprising, as the UK and Malta gaming authorities do the most possible to protect players and operators from fraud.

AS a result, if you live in one of the following countries, you are not permitted to play at Miami Dice casino:

  • Afghanistan
  • Albania
  • Algeria
  • American Samoa
  • Angola
  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Belgium

Software Suppliers

White Hat Gaming gives their partners a chance to take advantage of using multiple software partners for their casino offering. Miami Dice takes full advantage of this, as you can see from the list of amazing suppliers found in their lobby:

The Good Stuff

Winners are broadcast

This is something I wish more casinos did. At Miami Dice, there is a scrolling list of recent winners on the left-hand side of the screen. This list shows the player, the amount won and what game they were playing. This is information that all casinos can get access to, so building a banner to show off that players do actually win would be great for players to see.

The Bad Stuff

Transparency

I am speaking specifically about the VIP section of this casino, which I will dive into in more detail further down in this review. However, let’s just say it pisses me off when I have to go searching for information that all players should be able to access easily.

So few people can play here

Sometimes, when I write reviews, I wonder how many people a particular page will reach. Sadly, as you read above, there are very few countries that can actually create and fund accounts at Miami Dice. I am surprised by this as I have reviewed many sites that are licensed by Malta and the UK that accept more than the list I passed along. I am sure the management has their reasons, but it is still disappointing to me.

Game Selection

OK, now the fun stuff! As with any review, I like to put myself into an isolated state – no external distractions. I want to play the games not only to win of course but to look for anything notable to tell you about. So, I gathered a paper and pen for note taking, made a deposit and got down to business. With so many brilliant software partners on board at Miami Dice, I am heading into this portion of the review with a very hopeful attitude.

Full disclosure here: some of these software providers restrict you can play their games as well, so I had to use a proxy server to access the games from one of the fully unrestricted countries.

Video Poker

I typically like to get started with a good video poker session. The reason behind this is that I truly love the game, but also there is usually the most difference between casinos in this section of the site. What I found here was a great selection of my favorite games. If you are a video poker player, you know that you should be looking at pay tables to find the best chance to get to even odds in this game. Here are the options available to you at Miami Dice:

  • Aces & Eights
  • Aces & Faces
  • All Aces
  • All American
  • Bonus Deuces Wild
  • Bonus Poker Deluxe
  • Deuces & Joker
  • Deuces Wild
  • Double Bonus
  • Double Double Bonus
  • Double Joker
  • Jacks or Better
  • Joker Poker
  • Louisiana Double
  • Tens or Better

Table Games

Next, it is off to table games for me. My favorite game continues to be Pai Gow Poker, but for this review, I thought I would try out their Baccarat game for the longest part of my session. The game is super fast to play which is nice, and while I am still trying to get the hang of the overall strategy, I can see why this game is so popular around the world.

You’ll find tons of Table Games in the lobby, including many of the standard favorites. Here is a list of some of the great titles:

  • 3 Card Poker
  • Baccarat
  • Blackjack Player’s Choice
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Casino Hold ‘Em
  • Casino War
  • Craps
  • Cyberstud Poker
  • Double Ball Roulette
  • Let it Ride
  • Oasis Poker
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Poker Pursuit
  • Race the Ace
  • Red Dog
  • Roulette
  • Sic Bo
  • Spanish Blackjack
  • Texas Hold ‘Em Bonus
  • Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em
  • Unlimited Blackjack

Slots

I saved this part for last because there are just so many titles to choose from here. Also, when I am playing slots, I am looking for games with great pay line options, as well as the ones that have the best bonus games or jackpots. Here at Miami Dice Casino, the ability to switch between providers is great, as sometimes you will find a game you love and want to find games that are similar. In a sea of hundreds of titles, that can be a challenge.

Rather than go into a list of the almost 500 games in the lobby, I thought I would highlight just a few of the ones that caught my eye:

  • 108 Heroes
  • A While on the Nile
  • Babushkas
  • Bangkok Nights
  • Bobby 7s
  • Bonanza
  • Boom Brothers
  • Break Away
  • Break da Bank
  • Diamond Jackpots
  • Dice on Fire
  • Disco Spins
  • Divine Fortune
  • Emperor of the Sea
  • Enchanted Mermaid
  • Esqueleto Explosivo
  • Evolution
  • Excalibur
  • Fruit Warp
  • Fruity 7
  • Game of Thrones
  • Fishy Business
  • Jack Vs. Evil Dr. Wüten
  • King Colossus
  • Kingdom of Wealth
  • King Kong
  • Megadeth
  • Mega Fortune
  • Mega Money Multiplier
  • Merlin’s Magic Respins
  • Paws of Fury
  • Pegasus Rising
  • Piggy Riches
  • Random Runner Twin Player
  • SAM on the Beach
  • Shoot!
  • Silent Run
  • Silver Fang
  • Spanish Eyes
  • Sparks
  • Stickers
  • Subtopia
  • Sugar Parade
  • Sunset Delight
  • SunTide
  • Supe It Up
  • Super Diamond Deluxe
  • Super Fortune Dragon
  • Super Lucky Frog
  • Thundercats
  • ….and many more!

Live Casino

Miami Dice uses Evolution Gaming for their Live Dealer games, and that is fantastic news for my readers. If you haven’t tried these games before, this is how it works” You select a dealer and a table, and then a video screen opens with the actual dealer playing the game with you, just like in a land-based casino. It’s a great break from the traditional online casino, and it is always my favorite stop in a review.

You can play the following games at Miami Dice with a human dealer:

  • Blackjack
  • Casino Hold’em Roulette
  • Baccarat
  • Three Card Poker
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em

Promotions

For new casinos, having a strong set of initial promotions is the key to getting noticed in a very crowded marketplace. With so many casinos to choose from, players are scanning for the best deals when they look for a place to play, which is why when I write my reviews, there is a comprehensive section about the promotional calendar. Let’s have a look at what Miami Dice has to offer.

Welcome Bonus

The Welcome Bonus as advertised on the homepage of the website is a bonus that can bring you up to $3,500 in bonus dollars. Here is how the site explains the breakdown of the bonuses:

Your First Deposit:

A 200% Match Bonus, with a maximum bonus of $2,500 PLUS 50 Bonus Spins

Deposit Bonus Play With
$20 +$40 $60 + 50 Bonus Spins
$50 +$100 $150 + 50 Bonus Spins
$100 +$200 $300 + 50 Bonus Spins
$250 +$500 $750 + 50 Bonus Spins
$500 +$1,000 $1,500 + 50 Bonus Spins

Your Second Deposit:

A 50% Match Bonus, with a maximum bonus of $500 PLUS 100 Bonus Spins

Your Third Deposit:

A 75% Match Bonus, with a maximum bonus of $500 PLUS 50 Bonus Spins

Now, this may look like an attractive offer, but you need to bear one thing in mind here. IN the Terms and Conditions, the site mentions that while the playthrough is 35x, the maximum bet you can make while trying to earn the bonus is $5. At that level, you could be playing for a long time to earn out these massive amounts of bonus dollars. I am not trying to deter you from taking this offer, I just want you to have a realistic idea of how much you might actually get out of it.

Win a Holiday to Miami

Ok, well this is an excellent concept to tie in the name of the site itself! This seems at first to be a pretty simple promotion: earn 1,000 Miami Dice points in a month and you are entered into a draw for a free trip. However, once again on further investigation I found some roadblocks.

First of all, you receive MD points by making deposits at a rate of 1 point for every $10. Quick math shows me that in that case, you will have to deposit $10,000 in the month to earn enough points to qualify. ON top of that, the deposited money has to be wagered 2x, meaning that you have to make 20k in bets as well.

Finally, the T&C outline that there have to be 30 confirmed entrants for the draw to run. So…my guess is that they have never actually given this trip away. This is a bummer, as this promotion just seems like a huge tease with no real value for the player.

Banking

For the players who can access the real money games, there are a plethora of great payment options available to you. Some of these are targeted to players from particular countries, but regardless it appears that no one should have any trouble getting their money to or from Miami Dice.

VIP Program

Well, the good news is that there is a page of the website dedicated to the VIP Program. That is about where the good news ends though. Have a look at the very generic information the site posted on this page (I don’t want you to waste your time navigating to this on your own):

Once you earn VIP Status at Miami Dice, the sky is the limit!

With our VIP program, we offer a tailored set of unique offers for our most elite and loyal players.

As a VIP member, you will have the following exclusive perks, such as:

  • VIP Promotions – High Roller Offers
  • Personalised VIP service – A dedicated VIP account manager
  • Private Tournaments – Free Invites for High Rollers only
  • Extra perks that our VIP members receive inclusive of – free bonuses, seasonal gifts, VIP events and much more.

Keep checking your e-mails for a special invite to join the greatest rewards scheme of all time.

This is such a waste of time. Just tell us what the parameters are of the program on this page. I don’t get why companies hide this information, unless it is just because there isn’t much to the program.

One nice touch is that they may match your status from another casino. If you take a screenshot of your VIP level at a competitor and send it to them, they will contact you (and hopefully put you in the corresponding level, whatever that means).

Customer Service

For a site that was born in 2016, I expected more ways to be able to communicate with them. You can only reach the site via email and Live Chat. I am fine with them not having a telephone number listed (does anyone call anyone else anymore?), and Live Chat tends to address most player issues in real time. However, I hope they add methods like WhatsApp, and Skype like many other casinos have.

Would I Play at Miami Dice Casino?

I am torn about my recommendation of this casino. On the one hand, I love the theme, and I love the array of different software that they offer their players. These days, content is king, and Miami Dice definitely understands that. However, when it comes to things like promotions and VIP program, the site definitely lacks the attention to detail that I typically like to see when reviewing a site.

So, I would leave it as follows: if you are a player who likes game selection (especially slots) more than anything else, then Miami Dice is a great place for you to play. If you are focused on the ROI from promotions and VIP status, then my suggestion is that you read some of my other reviews to find a site that is more up your alley.
