Welcome to my review of LuckyNiki Casino! These days, I find myself wondering how and why casinos come up with the themes that they do, but not with this site. This anime-themed site features a “host” (Niki) who seems to be responsible for this whole underworld of a casino. The site even goes so far as to give Niki a backstory, but that doesn’t really matter to me.

What is important for me when I am reviewing a casino is that I dig into every corner looking for all the good and bad things I can find, in an effort to bring to you the most comprehensive review possible. I have no skin in the game, so you can rest assured that this is a completely honest review – whatever I find, good or bad, I will be reporting to you.

Okay, let’s not waste any more time…Niki is waiting for me to come on in and play!

About LuckyNiki Casino

LuckyNiki is a new casino, having only launched in 2017. While this has given me lots of reason to be concerned over the years, while trying to locate some details on the owners, I came across other vital pieces of information that put my mind at ease. While I cannot seem to track down who actually owns this casino, it is being managed and operated by SkillOnNet, which is one of the more well-known white label operations in the industry. It is doubtful that this group would have risked its reputation taking on a new brand site without properly vetting it, so that is good enough for me.

Who Can Play at LuckyNiki Casino?

LuckyNiki falls under the master gaming license held by SkillOnNet, which comes from the Malta Gaming Authority. While this designation provides another layer of security for players, it also brings with it a list of countries from which players are not allowed to deposit and play for real money. Players from the following countries are out of luck when it comes to LuckyNiki:

  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Cyprus
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hungary
  • Israel
  • Mexico
  • Romania
  • Spain
  • Turkey
  • United States

Software Suppliers

For a new casino, LuckyNiki also gets the benefit of SkillOnNet’s relationship with many software providers. This means that even though the site is young, you are going to find its roster of games as impressive as a site that has been around for a decade. Have a look at the partners from which LuckyNiki draws its content:

  • Aristocrat
  • Bally Technologies
  • Barcrest
  • Evolution Gaming
  • Extreme Live Gaming
  • Lightningboxgames
  • Microgaming
  • Net Entertainment
  • NextGen
  • SG Interactive
  • SkillOnNet
  • WMS

The Good Stuff

Multiple Live Dealer Options

Green Thumbs Up
You may not know it, but the live casino games are becoming more and more popular by the day, and for the most part, when I review a casino there are now a few tables from one software supplier. Imagine my surprise when I saw both Evolution Gaming and Extreme Live Gaming in the list of software partners for LuckyNiki! But wait…there’s more! In the lobby, I found NetEnt’s live dealer games as well. This means that this casino features more live dealer options than almost any other casino I have ever reviewed. More on the games later on in this review.

Transparency!

It is surprising how many times I have to write in a review that I wish casinos would be more upfront about the terms of promotions and VIP programs. Well, I am happy to report the exact opposite is true at this site! I love the level of detail each offer is given, and there should really be no ambiguity for players as to what they will receive when playing at LuckyNiki.

Jackpots Galore!

While I am not the biggest slots player by a long shot, I do find myself to be a sucker for a possible huge jackpot. At LuckyNiki, I was greeted by over a dozen jackpot slots, including one of the largest of all, the Mega Moolah slot from Microgaming. This game has made several players multi-millionaires, and I always suggest that players try it for at least a couple of spins every time they log into their account!

The Bad Stuff

No Live Chat Support

Red Thumbs Down
For a recently launched casino, I am shocked that there is no live chat available at this site. Why the decision was made to have telephone support instead of live chat escapes me, but I know that this isn’t sitting well with me. I hope the site reconsiders this policy and adds this extra layer of support soon.

Weak Welcome Bonus

Seeing that the welcome bonus is typically when a casino rolls out the red carpet and throws the most money at a player, it is surprising to see such a small offer from LuckyNiki. I’ll review the bonus in detail later, but this is evidence that the type of player they are looking to attract at this casino is a small-stakes player who is more interested in slots than anything else.

Game Selection

When I start to play at a casino for the first time, before I even sit at the tables, I like to look around the lobby to see if it is going to be confusing to navigate. The LuckyNiki lobby had that potential given that there is an animated host as well as so many software providers, but thankfully neither interfere with what appears to be a well-laid-out lobby. Let’s dig into the different categories and see what we find.

Video Poker

I love video poker, and most of my reviews start with a session at these machines trying to chase down a royal flush. The reason I like video poker is that it combines the speed of a slot machine with some strategy (you have to hold cards each hand), making it a perfect hybrid between the two casino staples.

At LuckyNiki, it would appear that the owners do not share the same enthusiasm as I do about video poker. These are the only games not to have their own tab in the lobby, which is understandable when you recognize that there are only four variants available to play. This is disappointing because I know companies like Microgaming offer three or four times the number of titles to their licensees. I also understand that I am in the minority and that not that many casino players are drawn to video poker.

Nonetheless, I did manage to get in a decent session, and the games the casino does offer are excellent. Here are the options you have in the lobby at LuckyNiki:

  • Joker Poker
  • Jacks or Better
  • All American
  • Deuces Wild

Table Games

Now, with so many software providers in the mix at LuckyNiki, I would have hoped to find a much better array of table games to choose from. This gives me a reason to believe that this site is far more focused on attracting slots players as a whole. This is a fine strategy to have, but to turn aside a group of players when there is loads of real estate to list games is definitely not seeing the forest for the trees.

I will say that the games that the casino does offer, which are heavily weighted to blackjack and roulette, offer excellent graphics and sound effects. If you are a casual gambler, I think you will enjoy what LuckyNiki has to offer in this
category:

  • 3 Card Poker
  • Baccarat
  • Blackjack
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Casino Hold ‘Em
  • Craps
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Red Dog
  • Roulette
  • Sic Bo
  • Spanish Blackjack
  • Three Card Poker
  • Three Wheeler
  • TXS Hold ‘Em
  • Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em

Slots

Well, I guess I saved the best for last when it comes to the RNG games. The slots category is where you will find the most diverse content – being able to pull titles from several vendors shows off the differences in design, which makes for a much more attractive set of games.

We already covered the jackpot games and my love of them, but for this review I did test some of the other titles, starting with a few in the Niki’s Favorites tab. Games like Starburst and Agent Jane Blonde are sure to keep you occupied for a long time. Here is a selection of the great slots you will find:

  • 108 Heroes
  • 108 Heroes Fortunes
  • 1 Can 2 Can
  • Alice the Mad Tea Party
  • Beauty & the Beast
  • Bruce Lee: Dragon’s Tale
  • Cashing Rainbows
  • CLUEDO Detectives
  • Creature Black Lagoon
  • Doctor Love on Vacation
  • Elements: The Awakening
  • Red Riding Hood
  • Fruit Fiesta – 5 Reel
  • Fruitinator
  • Hercules High & Mighty
  • Jackpot Jester Wild Nudge
  • Judge Dredd
  • Call of the Wild
  • Legend of White Buffalo
  • Mega Moolah Isis
  • Michael Jackson
  • Monopoly
  • Motörhead
  • Oil Mania
  • Oink Country Love
  • Persian Dreams
  • Phantom’s Mirror
  • Reel ’em In!
  • The Book of Dead
  • Secret Code
  • Snapshot
  • Starburst
  • Star Trek
  • Stellar Jackpots
  • Street Fighter II
  • Superman
  • Tarzan
  • The Invisible Man
  • The Legend of Shangri-La
  • The Wizard of Oz
  • Wild Wild West
  • ….and so many more!

Live Casino

As I mentioned in the Good Stuff section of the review, seeing more than one live dealer product on display at LuckyNiki is great news for everyone. With games being provided by three separate companies, you will have even more choices when it comes not only to the game you want to play but the dealer you wish to play with. This version of online casino play is much closer in feel to the land-based experience, and improved streaming capabilities over the last few years have really extended the reach of these games. You can try any of these games in the live casino section of LuckyNiki:

  • Baccarat
  • Blackjack
  • Casino Hold’em
  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em
  • Roulette
  • Super 6 Baccarat

Promotions

Typically when a site is operated by a white label company like SkillOnNet, the promotions for the site are left to the individual owner. This ensures that there aren’t a lot of copied offers between sites, which defeats the purposes of having separate brands in the first place. While I cannot guarantee that this is the case with LuckyNiki, I have reviewed many SkillOnNet casinos before, and it looked to be the case. Let’s look at some of the site’s promotions in more detail.

Welcome Bonus

I mentioned above that I was disappointed in the welcome bonus  at this casino. I want to be clear: I am happy there is any bonus at all, but what I am upset with is the size of the bonus. The welcome offer is a 100% match bonus to a maximum of $100, plus 200 free spins. I have seen far more aggressive offers at competing casinos, so I am not sure what the owners of this casino are thinking by offering something so minimal.

Compounding this issue is the fact that the wagering requirement for the bonus is 30x the sum of the deposit and bonus, and that only slots and scratch card play qualifies to convert the bonus dollars. All said, I wish the site would do more for its potential depositing players.

Tournaments

Aside from some daily bonuses that you need to uncover by logging into your account every day, the best ongoing offer is the set of tournaments being run by the site. These tournaments are often free to enter, which is a great way to try out some slots without having to put down any money. There are also slots tournaments with entry fees, and these give out larger prizes to the winners.

Banking

While there are only a few options for banking at LuckyNiki, the operators must know what they are doing, as they wouldn’t want to leave any potential deposits left without a way to be completed. The casino has recently added Bitcoin as a solution for those who wish to use the cryptocurrency. The site does not currently pass any fees to players for payouts, but you should always check with your method of choice to see if they have fees on their end.

Deposit Methods

  • Bitcoin
  • EcoPayz
  • MasterCard
  • Neteller
  • PayPal
  • Visa
  • Entropay
  • Skrill

Withdrawal Methods

  • EcoPayz
  • MasterCard
  • Neteller
  • Visa
  • PayPal
  • Entropay
  • Skrill
  • Wire Transfer

VIP Program

The VIP lounge area of the LuckyNiki website has more details than I have seen in many other casinos. This makes me very happy, as it ensures that players completely understand how the program works, what each level offers in the way of rewards, and also has a series of frequently asked questions.

I won’t go into the details of all the levels here, as you can see this for yourself. I do want to highlight something I know I get asked about all the time, which is how each game works to contribute to your VIP status. At LuckyNiki, this is clearly defined in this table of how you earn VIP points:

Games Wagering Points
Slots 20 1
Hi & Lo 40 1
Caribbean Poker 60 1
All roulette 80 1
Craps 100 1

This is a pretty standard table, as slots players are rewarded at a much higher rate due to the odds being worse for players. It is good to see that all games are counted towards VIP status, as I get really frustrated when I see that a site is dismissive of games I love to play, like Pai Gow Poker.

Overall, this is an excellent VIP program and would definitely motivate me to spend more hours at LuckyNiki.

Customer Service

Well, here’s hoping that you don’t have any need for the support department at LuckyNiki (or at any other casino for that matter). Now, I know I went off a bit about the lack of live chat earlier in this review, and while that still bothers me, I did test the email support and was pleasantly surprised to receive a response after only a couple of hours, which is significantly faster than I would have expected. You can call the site via telephone, and of course, if you have a complaint that the casino does not seem to be addressing, you can always reach out to them on a public forum to see if they will respond.

Would I Play at LuckyNiki Casino?

At first glance of the website, I was certain that this would not be a casino I would want to spend a long stretch of time at. However, after reviewing the site in detail, I am far more likely to recommend the site to my readers. There are some things that I think the site could fix rather easily to improve their overall rating in my eyes, but on the whole, I think the group has done a good job with this casino. If you are a slots player, you are going to love what you see at LuckyNiki.
