When the European Union took shape, it appeared as though the unified region was going to be stronger in many ways. In the online casino world, it started out that way; opening up the doors to each country made it easier for casinos to take European players, and with one consolidated currency, it was a dream for payment solutions providers. As a result, many casinos started to turn to the EU logo and colors in their marketing and branding.

Euro Palace is one of those sites. You can tell right from the homepage that the focus is on the stability and security of being in the EU (that may not be the case anymore, of course). However, what we care about is if the casino is worth your time and money, no matter what currency you happen to play in. I present to you an honest review of this site.

About Euro Palace Casino

euro-palace-header

Euro Palace is one of the many brands that were initially launched by the Fortune Palace group. This well-known company was sold to Digimedia, and now that group runs 20 different brands. The Fortune Palace network of casinos remains intact, as you will see when we dig into some of the marketing they are doing. Euro Palace is one of the most recent additions to the fold, having launched in 2010.

The whole company is based in Malta and has a gaming license from the same region. The Malta Gaming Authority came to prominence over the last decade, and it is now recognized as one of the most sought-after licenses for any online gambling site.

Who Can Play at Euro Palace Casino?

Even though this casino is European-themed, there are still some countries over there that are not able to access these games for real money. As the regulations change in individual countries, restrictions are placed on the sites who do not comply with the new laws. As a result, if you live in any of these countries you cannot play at Euro Palace:

  • Afghanistan
  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Hong Kong
  • Hungary
  • Israel
  • Italy
  • Netherlands Antilles
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • South Africa
  • Spain
  • Turkey
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Software Suppliers

Digimedia swallowed up many of the original Microgaming licensees when they put their company together, so it is no surprise that this casino remains on that platform. Also, Microgaming is still one of the best providers in the entire industry, so leaving them after all this time would really make no sense. Their games, which are available via Instant Play or through a downloadable piece of software, are top-notch and as you will read in our detailed review, you will see quality right through the entire catalog.

Euro Palace also offers their players Live Dealer Games. These games, which are relatively new to the scene compared to the traditional digital casino, are provided by Evolution Gaming. These guys are solely focused on this vertical, and it shows in the long list of clients they have brought on over the last few years. The live-streamed tables they offer are available only through your browser.

The Good Stuff

Progressive Jackpots

While there isn’t a full stable of progressives like some of the other casinos out there, the grand total of jackpots at the 16 games you can play currently totals over $2,500,000. That is definitely nothing to turn your nose up at; one spin of the reels can net you a five, six or even seven-figure payout.

Come see who won!

This is something a casino should do more of; posting winners on the site is not only fun for those players that actually had winning sessions, but it also provides a sense that there are actually winners in an online casino. I think the casino should go further and post every one of the winners on social media, so the public is more likely to see.

The Bad Stuff

Full-size banner never goes away

While I like the colors of the banner on the homepage, featuring the casino’s Welcome Bonus, it would be nice if it didn’t follow me to every page of the site. For one thing, the banner is huge; it takes up the entire screen, meaning I am never entirely sure if the new page loaded. Also, the banner is static, so it is just the same picture with the same offer on each page. They need to address this glitch in design.

Carbon Copy Site

Aside from some minor adjustments, this site is a carbon copy of some of the other Fortune palace sites.

I would like to see Digimedia commit to making each of these a little more distinctive; it would help them in the long run as it allows them to cross-promote more heavily to their database.

Game Selection

Slots

Euro Palace Game Selection

I want to start my review of this casino with the slots catalog. There is a good reason for that: with over 400 different slots to choose from, you could spend hours here before ever hitting the Table Games area. Usually, I would skip over testing these games; I have played all of them so many times I already know about the quality of the development and the incredible array of content. This time, however, I decided to get my kicks with a solid session of Bridesmaids (a guilty pleasure for sure). Microgaming has some of the best slots available anywhere; you can check out many of my favorites in this list:

Table Games

Euro Palace Table Games

Ok, now that I am done with my slots fix, it is time to turn my attention to the Table games at Euro Palace. When you get to their lobby, you will find games split into different categories; I can’t decide if I like this or not. I mean, do I really need a whole category for roulette? At any rate, this is how they are split in the lobby, and the games themselves are definitely worth trying. Here are the Table Games you are going to find in the lobby:

  • Vegas Downtown Blackjack
  • Vegas single deck Blackjack
  • Vegas Strip Blackjack
  • European Blackjack Redeal
  • European Gold Blackjack
  • Hi-Lo 13 European Blackjack
  • Keno
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Poker Pursuit
  • Premier High Streak Blackjack
  • Red Dog
  • 3 Card Poker
  • Atlantic City Blackjack
  • Atlantic City Gold Blackjack
  • Bonus Blackjack
  • Classic Blackjack
  • Craps
  • Crown and Anchor
  • Cyberstud Poker
  • Double Exposure
  • Roulette
  • Sic Bo
  • Spanish Blackjack

Video Poker

Euro Palace Video Poker

It seems that Microgaming must have a degenerate video poker player on their staff; how else can I explain the fact that their stable of machines is much more comprehensive and most casino software, providers? For me, you can’t do better than Deuces Wild, but video poker options are definitely a personal preference. For example, depending on the game you are playing, you could find the paytable shift by as much as 3%. That is a big swing if you are trying to be profitable.

Here are all the variants of Video Poker the site offers; you will see many of these also available in multi-hand format:

  • All Aces
  • Jacks or Better
  • All American
  • Aces & Faces
  • Double Bonus
  • Bonus Deuces Wild
  • Tens or Better
  • Aces & Eights
  • Deuces & Joker
  • Double Double Bonus
  • Joker Poker (kings or better)
  • Bonus Poker Deluxe
  • Double Joker
  • Deuces Wild
  • Louisiana Double

Casual Games

Euro Palace Casual Games

The Fortune Lounge folks refer to these games as Casual Games; I presume that is because they can’t really be considered gambling. There are many variants of bingo and keno, along with some other “fun” based games that are lottery style. Between all the titles there are over 50 different choices for you in this category. My recommendation is that you stick to games with better odds, but to provide an objective review, here are the options you will see in the Euro Palace lobby:

  • Monkey Keno
  • Six Shooter Looter Gold
  • Pharaoh’s Gems
  • Spingo
  • Keno
  • Hexaline
  • Four by Four
  • Triangulation
  • Scratch Cards
  • Germinator
  • Max Damage and the Alien Attack
  • Whack a Jackpot
  • Super Bonus Bingo
  • Pharaoh Bingo
  • Three Wheeler
  • Electro Bingo
  • Samba Bingo
  • Mayan Bingo
  • Bubble Bonanza
  • Pick ‘n Switch
  • Beer Fest
  • Crown and Anchor
  • Ballistic Bingo
  • Bunny Boiler Gold
  • Premier Trotting
  • Kashatoa
  • Bunny Boiler
  • Space Evader Gold
  • Premier Racing
  • Crypt Crusade Gold
  • Space Evader
  • Hand to Hand Combat
  • Crypt Crusade
  • Six Shooter Looter

Live Dealer Games

The Live Casino tab contains the following games:

  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Dream Catcher
  • Blackjack
  • Roulette
  • Casino Hold’em

Promotions

One area that Fortune Lounge has tried to separate their brands from one another is in the promotions area. While they do share a big network promotion that I detail below, their Welcome Bonuses are all slightly different, appealing to a multitude of gamblers as a result. This kind of A/B testing is a brilliant way to determine what promotions are going to be the most successful in the long run.

Welcome Bonus

As I mentioned, each Welcome Bonus is slightly different at the Fortune Lounge casinos; what doesn’t change is that it is usually a hybrid of Bonus dollars and Free Spins. These are the easiest to administer and are the industry standard for bonuses. Here is the Euro Palace version of the Welcome Bonus:

Earn up to $500 in bonuses and 100 Free Spins

  • On your first deposit: 20 Free Spins on Wild Orient plus a 100% deposit match bonus, up to $/€150
  • On your second deposit: 30 Free Spins on Win Sum Dim Sum plus a 50% deposit match bonus, up to $/€350
  • On your third deposit: 50 Free Spins on Bar Bar Blacksheep

This is an interesting way to divide a deposit bonus. For me, the first two bonuses make sense; a combination of bonus dollars and Free Spins. The third bonus, with only Free Spins attached, isn’t as attractive to someone like me as I am more of a Table Games player. I wonder if that was done on purpose to try to attract more slots players. No doubt there is some offer coming to the rest of us via email.

Wild Wins Wheel II

Here is a promotion that makes total sense for a large database of recreational players; play some games, be rewarded in real-time, and get access to a big pool of prizes. The Wild Wins promo is spread across all the Fortune Lounge casinos, giving them great marketing reach for the one prize pool. Here are the details on the promotion:

  • Play your favorite games to earn Rewards points
  • Your Rewards points will fill up the progress bar
  • Each time you reach 100%, you’ll get a spin on the jungle wheel
  • Prizes on the wheel include Free Spins, Rewards points and a Bonus Round for even bigger prizes!
  • You can try and spin the jungle wheel as many times as possible to win your share of €300,000 in instant prizes

To me, this is a classic case of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” I have long believed that if a particular promotion is both popular and profitable, then a casino should keep bringing it back over and over. Adding the “II” to this promotion gives the illusion that it may come back again; my money is on that outcome.

Banking

Wow. There are a staggering number of payment methods available at Euro Palace. With a focus on accepting deposits from European players, many of the names you will see listed below are localized for certain markets; the best way to find out what options you have is to log in and head to the cashier section; they will be automatically filtered for your region.

Comp Program

Even though there aren’t too many promotions to see on the Euro Palace site, the Comp Program more than makes up for that. This is a program that is also shared across the Fortune Lounge network. While this would normally upset me due to lack of creativity, in this case, I love the program and the transparency around it, so I am happy to accept that it is available in multiple places.

The Comp Program starts with the accumulation of loyalty points; you can earn them in all the games in the casino. You should take note of the accumulation rates in this chart, so you know what to expect:

Game type Bet size Point allocation
Slot games and unique games 1 credit 1 point
Table games (not mentioned below) 5 credits 1 point
Sic bo and all roulette 10 credits 1 point
Video poker games, craps, baccarat and all the blackjack games except Classic Blackjack 20 credits 1 point
Classic Blackjack and All Aces Video Poker 100 credits 1 point

Great, now you are ready to earn some points! And, when you get to the magic number of 5,000, you can convert them to real cash in your account at a rate of $1 for 1,000 points. This extra cash can keep you in the game and can even help you turn a profit; with no wagering requirement, I suppose you could also just withdraw the money if you want.

VIP Program

Fortune Lounge has always gone above and beyond to reward their top players. These days that means having two VIP programs at their casinos. It starts with the on-site VIP program, which is an extension of the Comp Program. For players who earn enough points, you will be entered into different levels of the program, where you can reap the following benefits:

Level Status Silver Gold Platinum Diamond
Free points when you make your first deposit. 2,500
Qualification and maintenance requirements Register a Real Money account at Platinum Play and make a deposit Earn at least 10,000 Rewards points in a calendar month Earn at least 25,000 Rewards points in a calendar month Earn at least 75,000 Rewards points in a calendar month
Redeem Rewards points for cash Yes Yes Yes Yes
Eligibility for weekly promotions Yes Yes Yes Yes
Bonus points when you play on your birthday 25,000 50,000 100,000
Accelerated earnings 5% faster than Silver level. Earn 100 points and get another 5 for free 10% faster than Silver level. Earn 100 points and get another 10 for free 15% faster than Silver level. Earn 100 points and get another 15 for free
Monthly loyalty bonus (ongoing loyalty bonus) 10,000 30,000 50,000

The second part of the VIP Program is the Fortune Lounge network program.

The highlight of this part of the program is the event section. In the past, the casino has taken its best players to lavish event across Europe and even to an African safari! This is motivation enough for me; I love the idea of a free all-expense-paid trip, even if it means I have to play hours and hours of Blackjack to earn it!

Customer Service

If you are looking for Chat Bubblesomeone at the casino to speak to about any issue you have, you need to look no further than the Live Chat button displayed prominently on each page of the site. Click on it, and an agent will respond very quickly (it only took about 30 seconds when I tried it out). If you don’t want to use Live Chat, you can also contact the casino via Skype, WhatsApp, and telephone. They also have an email address, but I would reserve that for issues that are not time-sensitive.

Would I Play at Euro Palace Casino?

I could spend a lot of time switching back and forth between the Fortune Lounge casinos. Euro Palace has a great design, and I love the EU feel to the site. The Welcome Bonus is not as large as many of their other casinos, but it works for me (aside from the third bonus). As for the rest of the site, you can’t go wrong with Microgaming and Evolution software, and the VIP program is a great way to keep me playing at this place over so many others.

I highly recommend that you try out Euro Palace; you can check out some of my other reviews of Fortune Lounge casinos to see if any of the bonuses are more suitable to your playing style.
