I had heard about Cashmio Casino a long time before I was asked to write this review. The problem is, I couldn’t remember why. Was it something bad? Something good? None of the above? It took me a

Long time to figure out exactly what had brought this site onto my radar, and then it dawned on me. A friend of mine had gone on an elongated Blackjack run on the site for a very nice 5-figure amount. While I was thrilled for him, all I could think to myself was “Wait, when will that happen to me?”

So, with this bit of positivity in my brain, it was time to give Cashmio the full legit, honest review.

About Cashmio Casino

cashmio-header

Cashmio is a relative newcomer on the online casino landscape, having launched in 2015. This is when I put my radar up during my reviews. I generally prefer to see a casino be around for 5 years before I award it a top rating. I will be objective when looking at this casino because what I found at first glance I really enjoyed.

The casino claims to be “The World’s Happiest Casino.” Now, while it is very unlikely they will be able to prove this, I did enjoy seeing the characters on the homepage. The ownership group has clearly taken a page out of the social casino playbook with this offering, and we will get into that in more detail a little later.

The owners of the casino are listed at MT Securetrade. Based in Malta, the company also manages some other brands that you may have heard of: Casino Pop, Jools Casino, and Rizk Casino. All of these casinos have a very modern look and feel to them which suggests the management team are a little younger than many of the other casino groups out there.

Who Can Play at Cashmio Casino?

Cashmio is a casino that is licensed in both the UK and Malta, which is excellent news for those who are ready to play. I should clarify that statement: being licensed by those jurisdictions is a sign that player funds are going to be secure, but they also come with heavy restrictions on who is allowed to play at the site. Americans are definitely out of the question (sorry), as well as the following countries:

  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Israel
  • Italy
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • South Africa
  • Spain

I am always hopeful when I write a review that I will have to go back and make revisions when the site starts allowing new countries in…that doesn’t happen too often, but a reviewer can dream, right?

Software Suppliers

Well, here is another sign that this casino is looking towards the future. Gone are the days when a casino would rely on one software supplier, as the browser-based versions of games can easily be integrated into one offering. Just look at all the suppliers Cashmio is working with for their site:

  • 2by2 Gaming
  • Aristocrat
  • Betsoft
  • Big Time Gaming
  • ELK Studios
  • Geco Gaming
  • Genesis Gaming
  • Leander Games
  • Microgaming
  • Net Entertainment
  • NextGen
  • Play’n GO
  • Quickspin
  • Rabcat
  • Red Tiger Gaming
  • Thunderkick
  • WMS
  • Yggdrasil

The good news about these games is that the majority of them are available to play on your mobile devices. Through the browser on your phone, you are able to reach the mobile version of the site and access your account to continue your gaming pleasure from wherever you like. As mobile gaming continues to grow in popularity, I would expect to see many more compatible games being added to the Cashmio platform.

The Good Stuff

Millions in Progressive Jackpots

Wow! Just have a look at the homepage of Cashmio and try to stay calm about their jackpots. At the time of this review, there were no less than five slots that featured jackpots of over $1 million! This includes the Mega Fortune jackpot which is closing in on $5 million alone. I can’t get enough progressive network games – casinos need to promote these massive jackpots more than they currently do.

Multiple Providers

As I mentioned above, Cashmio has over 10 software partners for this casino. I think it is worth mentioning again because what that brings to you as a player is an excellent amount of unique content. By adding games from all these vendors into their lobby, Cashmio guarantees that their slots catalog has many different looks to it, as opposed to a casino with only one provider. As you will see when we get deeper into the review, this means a great list of options for you to try.

The Bad Stuff

Customer Service on their time

This one was a real shocker for me. Given it is 2017, and the online casino is open 24 hours a day, you can only imagine how shocked I was to read that the customer support department was closed for the overnight hours. What makes this even more infuriating is that they are closed for the European nighttime, which is still primetime in markets on the other side of the Atlantic. Regardless, the site should have a skeleton crew on staff all night to ensure players don’t have major panic attacks.

Website Navigation could be improved

While I very much appreciate the modern look of the Cashmio website, I am dismayed with the layout of the pages. There isn’t much of a menu, and when I looked for information on payments, it took me to the FAQ screen which then directed me to the payments link…which took me back to the FAQ. I hope the designers read this and do something about it. I should be able to find the information I am looking for quickly, especially the stuff that relates to me playing for real money.

Game Selection

With this many software providers, I was thrilled to jump in and get playing. I even recruited a couple of longtime gaming friends to grab accounts and play some of the games, so I could get their opinion. One thing that came out of that experiment was that there were some games I could see where I am located that my friends could not and vice versa. This is likely due to restrictions placed upon the site from the individual software providers. So, if you are reading this review, then can’t find one of the games in the lobby…that is probably the reason why!

Table Games

I love table games. I can see myself sitting down for a Blackjack session thinking about when I will have the time for food and bathroom breaks during what I hope will be a multi-hour period at the tables. Of course, playing at home means I can take the game with me, but I still prefer to get comfortable and start playing my favorite game. At Cashmio, there are a few variants of the game that are interesting, although I will admit I am still a fan of the classic version of the game.

The games have excellent graphics and from all my testing seem to play at typical speeds. There didn’t seem to be any lag at all, even when playing on my mobile (ok, I did move once during my session haha). Here are all the Table games you will find in their lobby:

  • 21 Burn Blackjack
  • 3 Card Poker
  • Baccarat
  • Blackjack
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Casino Hold ‘Em
  • Casino War
  • Craps
  • Cyberstud Poker
  • Double Exposure
  • Draw Hi-Lo
  • Let it Ride
  • Oasis Poker
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Poker 3
  • Poker Pursuit
  • Predictor
  • Red Dog
  • Roulette
  • Sic Bo
  • Spanish 21
  • Three Card Poker
  • Three Wheeler
  • TXS Hold ’em

Slots

cashmio-slots

Over 600 slots titles. Let that sink in for a second. You could select a new game every day for almost TWO YEARS before you get through the entire catalog. With that many games to choose from, I can’t imagine anyone would have trouble finding a theme they would enjoy playing.

I have already mentioned the millions in progressive jackpots, so in this part of the review, I want to focus on having different software vendors at the same site. Each developer makes their games slightly differently, and you may not notice until you try a couple in succession. For me, I still love the classic three-reel games that remind me of when I first stepped foot in a Las Vegas casino. There are too many games to list here, so I thought I would highlight some of my favorites and some that I asked my friends for input on as well.

  • Alaskan Fishing
  • Alien Robots
  • Arcader
  • Arctic Fortune
  • Bork The Berzerker
  • Boulder Bucks
  • Break Away
  • Bridesmaids
  • BrideZilla
  • Gladiator
  • Guns N’ Roses
  • Gypsy Rose
  • Hall of Gods
  • Jewel Box
  • Lost Vegas
  • Mega Glam Life
  • Motörhead
  • Royal Frog
  • Spring Break
  • Tarzan
  • The Tipsy Tourist
  • Win Sum Dim Sum
  • Zeus III
  • And More!

Video Poker

The only thing holding me back from giving Cashmio a perfect rating for the software and games is the lack of Video Poker options. Don’t get me wrong, having more than one machine is still better than nothing, but I am used to seeing a dozen or so variants. It isn’t like the games take up space on a casino floor, and with this many software partners to choose from, I would like to see the casino add more selection in the future.

Now, on to the good stuff! The options they do have are some of the most popular Video Poker games. If you haven’t played the game before, I highly recommend it. The speed is like a slot machine, but the anticipation of waiting for a re-deal after you select your hold cards is unlike sitting at the slots. Here are the four Video Poker titles in the Cashmio lobby:

  • All American
  • Jacks or Better
  • Joker Poker
  • Deuces Wild

Promotions

Not only is the design of the Cashmio site displaying a more modern look and feel, but the company is clearly trying to advance where the industry sits when it comes to promotions. Yes, they still have some traditional bonuses, but as you will see in the breakdown of the offers, there is much more that could appeal to a newer type of player.

No Deposit Bonus

I am surprised that there aren’t more casinos that offer a No Deposit Bonus of some sort. It is easy to administer, and a casino can add whatever Terms and Conditions necessary to make sure it isn’t being taken advantage of, so I think players should be rewarded for simply opening an account.

The Cashmio folks agree, and offer players a tidy 20 Free Spins just for registering with them. As far as I am concerned, it could be even more Free Spins, but I am happy with what I see at this stage.

Welcome Bonus

Now that the Free Spins are out of the way, it is time to move the player through the lifecycle by offering them a healthy First Deposit Bonus. At Cashmio, it takes on the characteristics of the traditional online casino. You are offered a Welcome Bonus of 200% up to $200, along with 100 additional Free Spins. My recommendation to all my readers is that you max out this initial deposit, as you won’t see an offer as lucrative as this.

One minor hitch to this bonus is the wagering requirement, which is currently set at 45x the bonus. This is on the high side by comparison, but at least it limits the number of bonus abusers on the site. It is still worth your time to get as much as you can out of your first deposit at Cashmio.

Daily Missions

Here is where the social casino aspect of Cashmio creeps into the business. The company has a series of 3 Daily Missions that are posted for you to complete. These are not that difficult to complete, as you can see from these examples:

  • Win 35 times on Aloha and earn 11 Free Spins on Invisible man
  • Spin 40 times on Four Seasons and get 5 Spins on Dazzle Me
  • Spin 50 times on Glow and receive 10 Spins on Stickers

While the rewards aren’t exactly mind-blowing, the fact that you can quite easily earn them is the attractive piece of this promotion. Also, the fact that they are daily missions gives you a reason to come back to the site more often, which I think is an excellent way to create brand loyalty.

Banking

Seeing where this casino is licensed, I am not entirely surprised to see this many options when it comes to payment processing. Aside from the usual (credit cards, e-wallets), you will also find some that are local to certain markets, so don’t be surprised if you don’t see these in your cashier. One option that is becoming more popular is Zimpler, which is a way to pay for your gaming through your phone bill. I haven’t tried it personally, but it seems like an excellent option for players who don’t want to use their credit cards.

There are currently no complaints when it comes to payments from Cashmio, which is also great to see. As far as payment timing goes, their times are standard with the rest of the industry. I always suggest you use the e-wallets as they tend to get money to your account faster.

Comp/VIP Program

As far as I can tell, there is no Comp or VIP program at Cashmio. While this might normally be a red flag for me when I am performing a review, I want to give Cashmio the benefit of the doubt here. I assume that the continuing missions reward the most loyal players, which in itself is a VIP program. Also, as long as the company is investing their marketing dollars and not just stashing all the profits, then I can let this slide. However, I will be keeping an eye on this, and if I think it warrants calling out the site a little more, then you will see an update to this review.

Customer Service

I already expressed my dismay at the fact that they don’t offer support at this casino on a 24/7 basis, so I won’t go on about that again now. I did give their service a try, however, and got a quick response from the Live Chat agent when I clicked on the link.

Cashmio does have a FAQ section, which may take care of your general concerns. If you want to contact them, I would recommend the Live Chat as the only other option is email. The casino doesn’t offer a phone number, which isn’t all that bad in 2019, but I would have liked to have seen more modern options like Facebook or Twitter as forms of communication with the players.

Would I Play at Cashmio Casino?

Absolutely. I love the array of games offered at the casino, and I may even break from tradition and go chasing some of these seven-figure jackpots in the slots lobby! While I think the company is perhaps going a bit too far in their attempt to shake up the industry, I applaud their courage in trying to be inventive with their marketing.

Overall, I would want to give these guys a chance because I think they are moving the industry in the right direction, and so I am happy to recommend Cashmio Casino to anyone who can access their site for real money.
