|Software & Games:|
Welcome to my review of Playamo Casino! I am very excited to review this casino for my readers, as I have heard great things about them in the short period of time they have been open. While newer casinos tend to give me a little bit of concern, it appears that the people behind this brand are well-known and reputable. This is a casino that tries to bring the modern touches, like having a series of games that are available to play in Bitcoin. Now, let’s take a deep dive into the Playamo brand, and whether or not they are worth your time (and deposits!).
Playamo is another brand that comes to us from the group at SoftSwiss. This company has done an excellent job of building a platform that allows for easy integration of multiple casino providers, which is instantly evident when you get to the main page of their website.
Playamo was launched in 2016, but SoftSwiss has been in business for longer than that, which is why I can give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to reliability. Normally I would wait until a casino has been in business for 5 years before I give them a good grade for longevity.
The casino is operated by a company called Direx N.V., which has offices in Cypress and Curacao. As for licensing, the casino has a license from the Curacao Gaming Authority. This license doesn’t do much for me from a security standpoint, as they are not the most player-friendly of jurisdictions.
Who Can Play at Playamo Casino?
With a license from the operator-friendly Curacao, I was very interested to see who was able to play at this site. Historically, there haven’t been that many restrictions on sites who decided to use the Caribbean country as their home base.
While the list of restricted countries is indeed smaller than I have found at other casinos, I was surprised to see the names that are on this list. Most importantly, Americans are not able to access the Playamo games for real money. Here is the complete list of countries that currently cannot play here:
- United Kingdom
- United States
SoftSwiss is a provider that not only licenses their back-end software but operates a few brands themselves. To improve the overall player experience at sites like Playamo, the company offers a multi-partner game offering, featuring software from the likes of the following vendors:
- Amatic Industries
- Belatra Games
- Booming Games
- Evolution Gaming
- Habanero Systems
- Pragmatic Play
To accomplish housing all of these different partners, all the games at Playamo are available in non-download format, meaning you can play them right from your browser. The site is also mobile-friendly, with the majority of titles being formatted to fit the smaller screens of most devices.
The Good Stuff
A Crazy Number of Games
One of the first things you see on the Playamo homepage is that they are very proud to tell you that there are over 1,800 games available to play! This is by far the most games I have ever seen at a casino I have reviewed. While this may seem a bit overwhelming, I will break down each category, so you have an easier time navigating to the games you want to play.
A Great Way to Introduce Bitcoin
The cryptocurrency market can be somewhat intimidating. However, the online gaming world embraced this payment method years ago. The result is a series of casinos that not only accept Bitcoin as payment but also allow you to play in that currency. Many of Playamo’s games are available in traditional currency and Bitcoin formats.
The Bad Stuff
Americans and British Not Welcome
The Curacao license gave me some hope that I was going to be able to let my US readers in on the good news that they could play at Playamo. However, my hopes were dashed when I looked at the list of restricted countries. One day, I hope that this casino will open its doors to two of the world’s largest gaming markets.
High Wagering Requirements
Having an attractive bonus offer is a sure-fire way to bring certain players to a casino. Playamo has many great offers, as I will outline later in this review. However, the terms and conditions reveal a 50x playthrough requirement for converting bonus dollars, which is on the high side when compared to other operators.
1,800 games. That alone should make you excited for what you will find at Playamo. However, from a reviewer’s perspective, that means any number of things that could go wrong. From poor navigation to games being lost in the chaos, it can sometimes be counter-productive for a site to offer this many options to their players. It is my job to sift through it all and bring you the highlights. So, I grabbed a very large cup of coffee, created an account, and started my playing session. Here is what I found.
Those of you who read my reviews know how much I love video poker. In fact, in most cases, when I start a review, I like to dip my toe into the water with some easy action at these machines. It is a game that is not hard to learn, and that offers a little bit of thinking (you need to hold cards, after all!), so I always recommend to my readers that you give it a try.
Given all the possible partners to pull video poker from for the Playamo offering, I was disappointed to find so few video poker options. I understand that if the site is really focused on slots players, then they wouldn’t have much use for video poker, but as someone who spends hours of time at these machines, I still think the site could do a little better in this area.
You can choose from Jacks or Better or Joker Poker at Playamo – I still think you should give these a try if you haven’t played video poker in the past.
Okay, fresh off my video poker disappointment, I was ready to drown my sorrows in some of my favorite table games. Again, I found only a few games available, and many of the games I had to really hunt for, as the site navigation is very slots-focused. I did find it odd that the site listed their live dealer games along with the standard RNG games, seeing that there was a tab just for live dealer in the lobby. No matter, I still sat down at a blackjack table and proceeded to finally have a winning session during my of my reviews!
There are a few blackjack and roulette options available in their respective tabs; the other games are harder to find. You will, after some digging, find some of these options available to you:
- Casino War
- Red Dog
- Caribbean Stud Poker
- Poker 3
- …and many more!
Okay, deep breath here. It is very clear when you are in the lobby at Playamo Casino that the focus is on slot machines. You will find well over 1,000 titles in this part of the casino. I am very happy with the way that this is laid out, giving you the option of filtering by provider. This is important, especially with a list of games this long, because you may find a game you like and then want to search for other titles that feature the same style of graphics or gameplay.
I will admit that I played these games much longer than I would normally at other casinos. Maybe it was the sheer number of titles in front of me, or perhaps some of the great graphics, but all of a sudden, I found myself a couple of hours into my slots session (and still had some money!). You would be reading for a long time if I tried to list all the slots games available in the Playamo lobby, so let me just highlight a few that I either tried or like from other casinos I have reviewed.
- 5 Mariachis
- Beverly Hills 90210
- Book of Aztec
- Cherry Bomb
- Black Lagoon
- Enchanted Meadow
- Football Champions Cup
- Freemasons Fortune
- Go Bananas!
- Heavy Metal Warriors
- Jack Hammer Dr. Wüten
- Call of the Wild
- Golden Monkey
- Lucky Day
- Merlin’s Millions
- The Nxt Experience
- Phoenix and the Dragon
- Quest for Immortality
- Prince of Tweets
- Rugby Star
- Wheel of Wealth
- Sugar Rush Valentine’s Day
- Sweet’s Surprise 3 Line
- Tickets of Fortune
- Treasures of Pharaohs Line
- Wicked Circus
- The Great Train Heist
- Winning Wolf
- Win Spinner
- Wonky Wabbits
- World Tour
One thing that is unmistakable at Playamo is the focus on live dealer games. With software from Evolution Gaming, who is a leader in the space, you will find a tab dedicated to the live casino. Here, you will find several versions of the games you love, featuring different buy-in limits and many different dealers to choose from.
If you haven’t tried live dealer games before, then I have to tell you that I think you are missing out. The games feel much more like playing in a land-based environment, and with a dealer being streamed into your home, it feels far warmer than the traditional digital casino does.
Here are the games you can choose from at Playamo’s live dealer casino:
- Dream Catcher
- Casino Hold’em
- Bet on Numbers
Now that I have covered the games you will find, it is time to see what offers Playamo presents that could convince you to make a deposit and play with them. When I went to the promotions page, I found only a few offers available. This isn’t entirely bad – many casinos hold promotions for their email communications with players, so I am sure that if you register an account, you will find many more offers in your inbox.
What I did find confusing is that there are a couple of promotions that are listed on the left-hand menu on each webpage that are not listed in the promotions tab. This isn’t great site navigation. Thankfully, I did notice them, so I can add them to the list of promotions we are going to highlight here.
While Playamo actually has bonuses for both of your first two deposits, I am going to highlight the First Deposit Bonus. There are actually two bonuses available – a standard offer and one for high rollers. Here is the breakdown of each:
Standard First Deposit Bonus
Add funds to your account, and we will double your deposit amount. The maximum bonus amount is 100 €/$. Depositing 100 €/$ will get you 200 €/$ to begin playing with. Please mind the wagering requirement here – the maximum bet is 5 €/$.
Besides, in 24 hours after the deposit, you will get 20 free spins for the Lucky Lady’s Clover slot, and in another 24 hours – 20 free spins more, and it goes on like that for 5 days!
High Roller First Deposit Bonus
Prefer to play big? Then we know what you really need. Get our special High Roller Bonus 50% up to €/$ 2000 for your first deposit starting from €/$ 1000. Playamo casino is set to strongly support all of its players and provide you with maximum comfort.
So, a couple of things to note here. First, the standard welcome offer is very small. This is surprising, as this is typically the time when a casino wants to maximize your deposit by throwing bonuses at you. Also, the High Roller Bonus does not have a minimum bet associated with it. If it were me, I would make the minimum deposit to qualify for the High Roller Bonus and then maximize my play time to try to earn the credit. I would suggest the same to my readers.
Playamo $30,000 Party
This promotion, which is one of the ones highlighted on the side of the page, is a 16-week series of slots tournaments, each with a prize pool of $2,000. Now, if you can do the quick math, you can see that there are actually $32,000 of prizes. Having said that, the promotion is easy to be a part of. Simply play slots games and earn as many points as possible during a weekend, then look for your name on the leaderboard!
There is a complementary promotion that is for players who play their games on weekdays, with the same rules and a slightly larger prize pool over the 16 weeks.
With so many games focused on being able to be played in the cryptocurrency, it is no surprise that Playamo would be pushing Bitcoin as their preferred method of payment. Having said that, there are also many of the traditional forms of deposits and withdrawals, although not nearly as many as I have found at other European-friendly operators. There have been no complaints of slow-paying that I could find on the forums, so that gives me a warm feeling about the security of your funds that would normally come from the oversight provided by some gaming licensing boards like the UK or Malta.
- Bank Wire Transfer
- Visa Electron
- Postepay (by Skrill)
- Skrill 1-Tap
- Yandex Money
- LAVA pay
- Przelewy24 (by Skrill)
- iDeal (by Skrill)
- Nordea (by Skrill)
- Bank Wire Transfer

- Yandex Money
Now, what I would define as a VIP program would be something where you as a player can earn status within the casino that unlocks certain bonuses, rewards, service levels, etc. that match your loyalty with the casino.
Playamo claims to have a VIP program, but upon further review, it simply looks like a rewards program that awards you prizes based on the number of points you earn. These prizes are automatically awarded into your account overview for you to claim.
I don’t mind this program; in fact, it is a great way to distribute prizes automatically. However, this cannot be considered a VIP program in my eyes, so I hope the casino takes note and modifies the program in the future.
Here are the prizes you can win for each level you achieve in the program. Bear in mind that each point is earned for $15 wagered:
- 1-49 CP Prize: Participation in the VIP
- 50 CP Prize: 15 free spins
- 200 CP Prize: 50 free spins
- 600 CP Prize: 150 free spins
- 1,500 CP Prize: 125 free spins
- 4,000 CP Prize: €50
- 15,000 CP Prize: €200
- 200,000 CP Prize: €1,000
- 750,000 CP Prize: €10,000
- 5,000,000 CP Prize: A new Ferrari!
Good luck trying to win that car! I can’t wait to meet the person who bets 75 million dollars worth of bets at Playamo.
Although there aren’t as many ways to communicate with Playamo as some of their competitors, I still value the quality of the customer support department. I had some questions about their promotions, so I clicked on the live chat icon on the bottom of the screen. Within seconds, an agent was available, and they were very prompt with the answers I was looking for.
If you need to speak to the casino for any reason, you can also fill out a web form which will be sent to the support department. However, I always recommend that players use the real-time options available to them so that your query doesn’t get lost in the digital shuffle.
Would I Play at Playamo Casino?
As with many of my reviews, I am mixed on how to answer this question. As you can see from my ratings earlier in the review, I am overall quite pleased with what I have found during my research and playing at Playamo. If you are looking for a great place to find slots games by the hundreds, then this is definitely the site for you. However, if you are more interested in VIP perks or table games, then while this casino has the basics, I might suggest that you read a few more of my reviews to see if there is a better fit out there for your real money casino gambling needs.
