It’s that time to uncover the best football bets this weekend. It starts by targeting the college kids on Saturday, and it bleeds right into attacking NFL’s 12-game slate on Sunday.
The plan is to highlight the matchups that are bursting with value.
Let’s jump right in.
Ohio State Buckeyes (-24.5) -116
We can talk about Justin Fields and his jaw-dropping stats. I can highlight Chris Olave as one of the top wideouts in the nation or shed light on multiple defenders who are projected as first-round draft picks.
With that being said, the Buckeyes will remain untouchable Saturday in College Park thanks to being armed with the best offensive line in America.

Ohio State is currently pouring in 46.3 points per game and racking up 511.3 yards of offense. Now Ryan Day gets set to square off against arguably the softest defense in all of the B1G.
Things could get ugly fast for the Terrapins.
After Vegas opened this line at Buckeyes (-27), be thankful that bookies like BetOnline are letting us in at Ohio State (-24.5).
Northwestern vs. Purdue (Under 50.5) -110
I’m staying in the Big Ten for another one of my best football bets this weekend. Only this time, I’m not concerned with which program covers the spread.
In this particular battle of two unbeaten teams, I’m siding with the “under.”
The more I dig into the matchup in West Lafayette, the more evidence sticks out that this should be a defensive battle. For starters, it’s unlikely that stud WR Rondale Moore will be suiting up for the Boilermakers.
what's up with Rondale Moore for Purdue this year? He announced was going to the NFL, but then came back, but hasn't dressed for any games (but has been on the sideline, so not COVID), and team won't discuss any injury situation. Is this an NCAA thing, or what? https://t.co/cINzDwiV9I

Secondly, Northwestern and Purdue rank 1st and 2nd in the Big Ten when it comes to shutting down their opponent on third down. As good as the Boilermakers have been on this side of the ball (Purdue is yielding just 22 ppg), Northwestern’s D has been even more stout.
The Wildcats surrender a measly 170.4 yards through the air and are yet to give up more than 20 points in a game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-5) -115
The Panthers almost beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in week 9 – just hours before the Buccaneers got toasted by the Saints at Raymond James Stadium. With Tampa Bay traveling to Carolina for this divisional showdown, it’d be natural to expect the Panthers to give the Bucs a run for their money.
Not so fast.
TB12 and his crew will be ultra-motivated to redeem last week’s performance. Look for Antonio Brown’s role to increase and expect Todd Bowles’ defense to come out guns blazing. Considering Teddy Bridgewater will be without his top weapon, I smell trouble brewing for the Panthers.
Panthers’ RB Christian McCaffrey is not expected to play Sunday against Tampa Bay due to a right shoulder, per sources. McCaffrey now will be considered week to week.

Los Angeles Chargers (+3) -110
Los Angeles is lurking as a 2.5-point dog at most spots. If you can still catch them at +3 at MyBookie, I say hop right on board.
Assuming Joey Bosa can clear concussion protocol, the Chargers front seven should be able to apply plenty of pressure on Tua. Tagovailoa was unable to push the ball up the field versus a feisty Rams defense, but give him credit for getting the job done last weekend against Arizona.
Shifting the focus back to what the lefty will face in week 10, I predict this rookie QB struggles to sustain a rhythm. The Phins backfield is totally beat-up, and Preston Williams is now sidelined for at least the next three weeks.
#Dolphins coach Brian Flores says WR Preston Williams (foot) will go on injured reserve. “Preston is going to go to IR. It’s more significant than we initially thought … It's a big loss. Preston made a lot of big plays for us this season."

On the flip side, Justin Herbert has been turning heads all season long. Xavien Howard was exposed against the Cardinals and now will be asked to matchup up with wither Keenan Allen in the slot or cover Mike Williams on the perimeter. That doesn’t bode well for Miami.
Don’t get caught up with trying to bet every single game on the slate. A couple of college football picks and two NFL predictions are all you need to walk away smiling on Sunday evening.
Now that you know what the best football bets for this weekend are, all that’s left is to head to the best online betting sites and start locking these wagers in.
